THAT is quite a find! And it looks brand new! I never knew there was a 110 SLR! Thanks for the pics.

here's how to reload a 126 cartridge with 35mm : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuhM7McQOpc
If you're not quite as diy adept, you can use this adapter:

and a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fPvubJaDJg

Thank you for the info!

It depends.

Are you looking for the majority to say yes so you can justify it in your mind?

What does your 5D not do for you?

G.A.S?

I know where you’re coming from. I shoot mostly a Nikon D7000 but want a Z50. And I still don’t know or use all the functions of the D7000. A new camera will not make me a better photographer. I’ll stick to the old D7000 until I learn all it can do or it breaks down. JMHO

Thank you all for your opinions/experiences.

Exactly the reason I asked the question. In my experience, sometimes when production is moved to a different location ( for whatever reason) quality sometimes slips. Just wondering if anyone saw a difference.

Thanks for all the responses. I would then assume the quality of glass and material would be the same and only the labor cost would be reduced. Do you all find this to be a good, sharp lens?

Hello fellow hoggers. What are your opinions/experiences comparing lenses that were made in Japan vs China or Thailand. Recently purchased a lens (Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AF D) that was pictured as being made in Japan but then was informed it actually wasn’t. Probably made in Thailand or China. (Haven’t received it yet)
If this was covered in another thread please tell me how to find it.
Thanks to all who respond!

That Minolta is an interesting camera!

I knew Kodak had some fancier cameras , including SLR, that used 126 film, but didn’t know Minolta had some

Thanks for that interesting information. I didn’t know it was collectible. Too bad I can’t get film for it anymore. I also have a Minolta 7S but I thought the 700 was easier to operate on aperature preferred.

Great thread! My first "real" camera was this Minolta Autopak 700 that took 126 cartridges. Square format. I got a lot of great slides on Kodachrome 64. Next was a Minolta SRT-101 that I wish I still had. Had the 50mm Rokkor and a 80-200mm Kiron tele. I think the SRT-101 was one of the nicest handling cameras I've ever held.

Thought that might be it. Wonder if it's ever really used? Thanks for the reply!
