Talk about money to burn.....

It's all relative, all relative indeed.

With $100 in your pocket 10 cents becomes easy to burn.

This is a Konica Hexanon AR 24mm f2.8 - a nice fast lens.

In superb condition, no haze, no oil, no fungus, no ugly stuff. The lens looks new. It works just fine. The absolute beauty of these tiny, lightweight Konica lenses is that you obtain the stunning quality of Konica that with an adapter will bolt right on to a modern Digital camera. You then use all the modern bells and whistles to focus this manual lens. You now have a superb quality lightweight lens on a new modern digital camera at a fraction of the cost of it's modern equiavalent. It's just a win, win system.

Imagine this on your sweet mirrorless or on a compact 4/3, ohh yessss.

Your output, $215.

For your consideration is a lens in very, very good condition. It is a Leica Vario-Elmar-R f3.5-4.5 28-70mm E60. Serial number is 3529174. As you are well aware Leica glass is Leica glass and it exudes quality. The only issue is that the built-in lens shade is loose. For that reason this lens is available for $295.

This is an SMC Pentax-A 645 Zoom 1:4.5 45-85mm in suberb condition. IMHO the lens looks almost new. My arthritis no longer allows it's use, it was on my Sony digital. Enjoy this fine lens, it will serve you well. $150 plus shipping, I prefer UPS.

My quick research leads me to believe this lens will work on Konica "AR" systems.

What Konica Camera’s Model will the Konica Hexanon 21mm 1.4 are made for?

Honestly I do not have that answer for you. Best to ask the Konica experts. I used it on a modern Digital Sony with an adapter. It was a superb lens in that use.

OR let me give you a comparison. Go to Adorama.com and look up The Novoflex CASTBAL Tilt-shift Bellows system with 90mm lens. You will find the system I am offering to be of much higher quality. Mine is a fine ASAHI bellows, my lens is none other than one of the finest lens there is - the Schneider Componon.

and you ARE corrent. It is a fine enlarging lens - one of the finest.

And it was, in fact, one of the finest for that use. Now then, a lens, is a lens, is a lens. Schneider Componon is still one of the finest. B&H has one for $714. With Schneider Componon you do get what you pay for. Asahi Pentax, among others, realized the abilities and quality of this lens, and others, and built the bellows for the purpose of using high quality enlarging lenses for macro photography. What you are inquiring about retails for about $1,000. I am offering a $1,000 macro setup for $525. Is your query regarding the appropriatness of using the Schneider Componon for macro photography? Perhaps I am missing your point. If so forgive me.

This system is designed to place a high quality camera on the bellows and produce mind-blowing high resolution macro photography only limited by the quality of the camera attached to the bellows. That lens is a no compromise lens built for high quality imaging.

These remarkable sensors we are all talking about have more uses than imagened. They are used for scientific and industrial imaging. And they are used for my new hobby of choice - Astrophotography. Why do I want more megapixels, why do I crave more megapixels? The answer has been stated - it's data. The more megapixels I have the more data I have. Some of the astro guys attempt to image Deep Space Objects. DSO's are tough to do, really tough. Galaxies far, far away don't lend themselves to simple photography. The image received - on a good day - is unbelieveably faint, with little useable data. To form a useable image thousands of images are needed. Easily 5,000 images worth of data which are then compiled, sorted, massaged to obtain a useable image. So, do I need Mega Pixels? Oh yeah, lots and lots of 'em. So when Sony, the biggest player in this field, comes out with a new high mexapixel, low noise, sensor everyone salivates. But, the cost of these new monster megapixel sensors comes at a high price and has a whole lot of zeros on it's price tag.

And so the Digital DSLR folk also benefit with more data to use for whatever their needs may be. Data is data, and if some is good then more is better, and too much is just enough. How fast do yah wanna go???
