Texas in the springtime just cannot be beat !! Love the picture.
Thanks so much for the infomation. Great news and I wish them all the luck.
Great news. I am a steam engine fananic myself and have a fairly large layout with about a dozen steam locos.
Do you know what type of loco that is being restored?
My idol as a high school kid. I always thought her ability to hit the low notes in a sultry way was "unique".
Jack Webb was crazy to let her get away. :>)
I hate it too. Why the change?
I cannot find my "regular" sections. GO BACK TO THE EARLER FORMAT !!!!!
Yep. On the Colorado River, below Austin ( in years way past and gone), Dad and I used to trot line fish at night. These gars can reach huge proportions. They will tear up any trotlines that they get caught in. What memories.
This picture is of "Granite Mountain", (a state park) as stated. But the stone for the capital did not come from that place. It was cut out of a huge granite site a few miles west of Marble Falls, Texas. Also, the Marble Falls area site furnished all the rock for the giant seawall built to protect Galveston, Texas from flooding during hurricanes. The granite mountain can be seen from Hwy. 1431, west of Marble Falls.
The #2 picture looks like a Plymouth product rather than a Ford. The "grille" design on the side of the hood looks a lot like a Plymouth. I could be wrong. Beautiful pictures.
I have a huge part of my flower bed with these wonderful flowers. They are about 6 ft. high and have the most wonderful, intoxicating smell of any flower I know of. They ARE invasive however.
Looks like a 1940 or 1941 model Chevrolet. Needs alot of TLC !!
Those are B-25's, not B-24's.
Yes, there were 6 cyl. Chev. H-Tops in 1955. I owned one.
The world's greatest airshow, hands down. I attended twice many years ago. Been a member since 1963.

I live in Austin, Texas and got a HUGE passion vine....over 6 ft. high and 10 ft. wide in full bloom. NOTHING smells as great as this. The name is perfect. Very aggressive however.
