Sharpie has the squared-off tail. That is how I tell it from a Cooper's Hawk. Great shot.

I use one card in top slot and shoot raw and jpeg using a SD 32gb Ultra. I took some additional test pictures to practice with and they are on the card.

Jeffrey,
Sadly, I am so confused and I don't understand why it is not working for me.

Do I create a folder prior to clicking on the camera at the left of menu bar?

I don't understand where you mean when you say: Then click on the "Open" button at the bottom of the browser. I do not see a place to click on any "Open" button.

When I got the "New folder" to show in the "Destination" box which is where I thought the images would go into, I hit download, and then a little pop-up box came up saying "No files found in the Source".

And the images are gone off of my card again. Fortunately, these were on 8 test images that I was using. Maybe I am just too tired trying to do this at this late hour. Going to stop for now. I know it's me, but I just can't find what step I am doing wrong after trying 3 times. Thanks.

Thanks so much, Jeffrey. Give me some time to check on the info you have provided. Have an electrician coming today so it may be later in the afternoon.

I placed the card back into the camera (D7100) and still get the message - ! Folder contains no images

Going to print out your post so I have it in front of me to work with. Will definitely keep you posted.

Jeffrey,
Thanks. I looked at that particular drop-down box to look for the copy vs. move actions, but didn't find those particular actions. I have printed out the 94-page directions and could not find anything relating to this issue.

I downloaded the most recent version of FastStone on 5/29 on a photo trip. I was able to download two day's images while I had FastStone open. I discovered that it removed my images from my card when I put the card in my camera and found no images.

Last night I was in Pictures on my laptop, made a folder for my newest images and downloaded them. When I went to place them in the folder, they were no longer there. And, of course, they were no longer on the SD card.

I will try what you posted. Thanks again.
Joyce

Used FIV for years ... it has NEVER erased my sd card.

You may have chosen MOVE instead of COPY.

I looked for something like that but could not find it.

Thanks for your reply. I just lost over 100 images from a day's work when trying to download them. Had folder ready to place the images into. Completely gone from card and computer. I think I will now uninstall FastStone. This never happened prior to installing and using FastStone. Had no problem creating a folder and then placing my downloaded images in the folder.

I sent an email over a week ago to FastStone support and never received a response.

Just started using it, but when I download my images from my SD card onto my laptop, my images are deleted from the SD card. Prior to FastStone that did not occur - my images remained on my SD card. Is there anyway I can stop FastStone from removing my images from the card.

I have Windows 10.

Thanks!

New to LR and have LR 5. Just been very afraid to start using it. Is this a good course to follow. I only want to do basic edits and fixes with LR 5. Thanks.
