I agree with what Rick36203 said. I downloaded and looked at the data for the 3 pictures. You used 3 different methods of metering with no other compensation. When you do that with out making any adjustments you will get different results and what those 3 images show are about what I would expect the results to be. I think your camera is perfectly OK.
You might want to read up on what conditions the different metering methods are designed to be used under.

Off to Ireland we go in September, the island of my wife's ancestors. Just discovered that September is traditionally the rainiest month there. So I'm concerned about the rain-on-the-camera problem. My main camera is a Canon 70D with the old 18-135 lens. The 70D is supposed to be somewhat water resistant but the lens may leak like a sieve. Would appreciate any suggestions for protection under such conditions. Now I also have a Nikon Coolpix 100 which you can shoot underwater. (I'm a true believer but I can happily worship in different churches depending on the occasion )
Please let me know your wisdom in the matter. Thanks.

"We both already have the camera, so the Panasonic is a moot point, although it may help someone else in their decision making."

Leica V-LUX is not full frame but has a 1" sensor. $1,188 at B&H.
The Panasonic FZ1000 is the same camera for a lot less.

From PC Magazine:
By Jim Fisher
"Make no mistake about it, the Leica V-Lux (Typ 114) ($1,350) is the same camera as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000$797.99 at Amazon, just with slightly different cosmetics and with a higher sticker price. The $450 increase for the Leica version doesn't just get you the company's famous red dot logo and the satisfaction of owning a Leica, however. You also get a longer three-year warranty, versus Panasonic's one-year coverage, and a license for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. If those are worth the extra money to you, rest assured that the V-Lux is just as good as a camera as the FZ1000. But we're rating it a half-star lower due to the higher asking price."

I had shot a bunch of photos using continuous shooting. While editing I found that after editing the first one I could move on to the next photo and then right click on the photo in develop module and select "settings" from the box that opens up and in the next box select "use settings from the previous photo". This photo is then edited exactly the same way. Saves me a lot of time when all the photos are essentially the same. Warning it also uses the same crop and even spot removals which may or may not work if the camera moves slightly while being hand held, but these can be changed in the new photo.

If you really like the edit settings you just created, save the settings as a preset and give it a name you like in the presets area.

I also like to make different versions of a photo, color and say black and white or whatever. I save each version by clicking on snapshot and giving it a name. The snapshot saves all the settings so I can go back anytime to see that snapshot/version. You can see a preview of the snapshot in the preview pane top left just by dragging your mouse over the snapshot name in the list of snapshots for a photo. If you open and then modify a snapshot you can save the new modification by right clicking the snapshot name and over writing it.

Maybe everyone knows this already.

Another way to skin this this cat if you have multiple photos. Apply your changes to Photo 1. In the film strip bar at the bottom select all the photo's you want to apply changes to. MAC use Command + left click. when all photos are selected click the "SYNC" button under the develop controls. This button is originally labeled "Previous" but when you select two or more images it changes to "SYNC". now you can apply changes to multiple images with one or two clicks.
