I have not been able to reload photoshop onto my laptop.
What other program is equal to photoshop if I have to buy another program?

I forgot how to find the download to enable me to look at the cr2 files with photoshop. Does anyone know how to find this?

The reason I asked which PS and which camera is so you download the right Camera Raw version. Too old and it won't open your camera's files. Too new and it might now work with whatever version of PS you are running

5D Mark II, CS4 Extended.

Packing, not packing, Scared, Not scared, Whatever; You should have the right to carry a gun if you wish too. I spent 30 years as a Police Officer and most of the time was required to carry a gun. When guns are prohibited, only bad guys will have them ;;

I was thinking the same thing. When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. I try to go to the range three times a week. I usualy have five guns with me. I am one of the people that liberals like to hate. Oh well, this battle will go on for ever.

You guys really need to start ignoring these scam sites! These crooks have been exposed on UHH many times in the past.

This sight was advertised on Ugly Hedgehog at the top. That is the only reason I said something about it.

Lesws,
Thanks, I checked the link. Have you purchased anything from them before? It almost sounds too good to be true. I did read the on-site reviews but, I've never heard of them before. Most of my photography purchases are through B&H or Adorama.

B&H is the only place I have delt with. I just noticed the add on this forum. It does sound lo.

I seems like I was reading on UHH a short time ago that someone was watching and waiting for the update to Canon's 5D Mark II. Adorama has the new Canon 5D Mark III on pre-order for $3499. OUCH!!! Off the top of my head, I think that's about $1000 more than the previous version.

Tina, I have owned the mkll for two years now and have been hearing people say for two years now, why spend $2500 on the ll since its' technology is already seeing a bit of dating when if you wait a while you can get the lll. Truth be told most of those aren't willing to pony up $2k, so they wait... for what, to pay $3.5k for the lll ? Maybe it will finally motivate them to get the ll. OR they can wait 3-4 years more and pay $4.5k for the lV. Either way you can always check out CanonRumers.com to get the latest dirt on speculation. I think most of the info is leaked by Canon just for the site.
The new nikon 800 is also on pre-order at $3.5k. Ouch. Makes the 60D look like a bargain at $1000. Geez, no matter where you sit, a tack! Oouch!!

The MarkII is down to $1200. I can't see what the MarkIII has to worent the differance. I love my MarkII. I am thinking about buying another one for a backup now that the price is down.

Pulling my hairs out {and I DON'T have many left}. Camera = Canon 7D.
My lens stable has:
Tokina 12-24
Tamron 28-75 (GREAT lens - but no IS)
Canon 18-200 IS (the best walk-around & travel lens)
Canon 70-200 f/4L (non-IS)
.
I recently sold my Canon EF 28-135 and EF-S 55-250 IS
Getting ready to sell the 70-200 f/4L
.
What I want - - is a LONG lens with good IQ at 400mm+ (unfortunately after looking at the link kindly provided by gessman I do NOT think I would be happy with the Canon 100-400)
http://luminous-landscape.com/reviews/lenses/forgotten-400.shtml
I like the image composition versatility of having zoom capability, but not at any significant sacrifice of IQ at the long end. So - - my question to the UHH cognoscenti:
.
WHAT do I get?
Canon 400 f/5.6L Prime -- --
Or
Canon 70-200 f/2.8L {I or II} WITH a Tamron 2x Teleconverter {TC} {IF you have this or similar TC combo - please post a center crop image at max zoom}
.
With the latter, with the TC off, I also get an awesome 70-200 lens - however the range is already covered by my 18-200, with more limited IQ and light gathering.
Pulling my hairs out {and I DON'T have many left}.... (show quote)

I got the 100 to 400 and have been very pleased with it. I feel the quality is very good.

Just another comparison.
The cheep setup and the 500 were side by side using my 5D MarkII about 100 Ft. away.
The 100-400 was about 20 Ft. away.

canon 100-300+doubler with tripod

500 canon IS with tripod

canon 100-400 IS offhand

And mule deer are much easier to photograph than are pronghorns.

The detail is nice. What lens and what was the distance. Also what time of day and it looked like the sun was out.
