Excellent point -- BUT ---
My worries are much-much closer to home ------
Have no issues with the possibility of "The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth" --- Actually not a bad idea at all ---
It's The Stupid taking over that really worry me

If we are talking about the same newly discovered planet -- Well then if my memory is right the darn thing is some 4 or so light years away --- When you consider the universal speed limit & also remember that you must be mass-less to achieve that speed -- Well then the poor dears - that is "if" they do exist are totally safe from us - Or better yet Us from THEM!!

Nice photos, the clouds over Mt. Etna are called lenticular clouds. They look like a lens. They are indicative of a mountain wave condition. Very important to pilots.

THANKS!!
Gonna try to remember that

Real sure there is a technical term for these types of clouds - At 1st I took it as a bit scary until one of the locals assured they were just clouds - Etna sleeps - Shots taken from our hotel in Taormina Sicily - Have also included a few shots of the Teatro Greco - Greek Theater getting ready for an upcoming Sting performance

In addition to all that, here is just one list of taxes and fees that are either new or have gone up. As the months and years go by they will go up even more and be even more burdensome.

If having higher taxes -- In your examples I really don't think so -- BUT what the heck -- lets give you a brake & say yes --- I say so what!!! --- Why not higher taxes --- What I'm getting at is that Well Educated, Well Fed, Healthy Population is in all of our Self Interests --- By the way the last time taxes were at our current rate was way-way back in the 1950's --- Our Government is underfunded ---

Think about it --- It's all about priorities ---- When you realize that our only natural renewable resource is ourselves --- To Live free & prosper in a society where the population is well fed, well educated & healthy is at minimum at least as important as having 10 to 12 multi bullion dollar Air Craft Carriers ---

There is one lens I forgot to mention --- It is the one I use for Macro/closeup Photos --- It's Canon's 500D closeup lens or what is often call a filter lens --- I generally use it in conjunction with the 135 2.0 L --- I use the 77mm version -- It does quite an admirable job without further filling-up the Camera Bag with yet another full size lens

My recommendations are lenses I currently use ----- Wide Angle: I go with L Primes say 24 1.4 L II along with the 35mm 1.4 II (a really great "walk around lens") nothing wrong with the 50mm 1.4 & 85mm 1.8 (also a great companion of the 35mm when walking around) then the sharpest lens in my bag the 135mm 2.0 L --- anything above that then there is of course as bob states the 70/200 & the 100/400 --- I use the old model 100/400 --- The 70/200 is a great/fantastic lens that due to my other lenses & my use & their coverage I have never been able to fully justify purchasing -

Thank you KD. I took the photo, converted it b&w, then used Ctrl-I to invert the colors. Finally I blended it in with a textured overlay that seemed appropriate. I used to call this the Silverlight Effect, but in this case, there were no silvery tones in the after-image.

THANKS ---- Will try it

A very special place ---- I've been but did not stay long for the actual changing of the guard but do assume more spectators would show-up but also hopefully assume I would still have some room to move around a bit -- So here is what I would take ---- A full frame camera with --- 35mm 1.4; 85mm 1.8 & my 135mm 2.0 --- Would assume I would probably when I got home need to crop out some fellow spectator --- arms; elbows; shoulders & sides of heads
