One important point that seems to be missing. If it's worth matting and possibly farming...make sure the mats are acid free. Costs a few dollars more but no future worries.
Also, I have found that Hobby Lobby is a generic hobby store with 75% off daily...who does that?
Suggest you consider a local reputable frame shop. I am sure they will sell you matboard... cut or not cut. Many also have scrap mats that they will sell at a deep discount.
I like your thoughts. Thanks Larry
I have a D5. I do not think that it is a crop sensor Camera but rather a full frame, but am not sure???
Thanks Don, Good recommendation.

Have a 70 x 200 1.4 and considering an Extender. I understand I will lose one f stop but increase focal length to 300. Is this correct. Would it be a beneficial considering price is about $150. Thoughts?
I am looking for a versatile canon lens (close-ups, wide angle, distance, landscape, portrait). I have heard that 24 x 70 and 35 x 105 are good options. Recommendations?
Guess the lower aperture number the higher the price...
Thanks Jim, Was not aware of such.

Thanks Bill for the insightful advice.

Regular Foamcore (backing Board) contains acid which in time will harm the photo. Buy acid free...it is a little more expensive but worth the cost.
Bill,
Good info. Much appreciated.

Bob, Do appreciate your invaluable insight and perspective.
