As a newbee, I'm in need of some assistants (opinions) on the best lense to use. I will be shooting a house party from the early evening till? There will be pics taken inside and outside with groups of people at tables (4 to 6) and random groups throughout the house. I have a variety of lenses to choose from, but some input would be helpful. I have a 24-70 F2.8; 10-24 F3.5 to 4.5 and 50mm 1.4. Thanks for the feedback

I took MT's advice and bought the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 and it's as good as he said it would be. Best if used off a tripod

Since I bought all the stuff, why not carry it around?

About ready to make the plunge and purchase a 70-200mm 2.8 lens for my Nikon D7000. Go with the Nikon or save $1,700 and go with the new Sigma 70-200mm 2.8? Comments & Opinions please

I've done some photographing on the side since I retired and in most cases, with people you have relationships with I find it best to barter at the begining and if it works out for a long term relationship (with the real estate co.) then costs can come into the picture..Good Luck

I have always suspended my camera bag from the center of my tripod. You never know when the wind will kick up.
