Aced it Sarge! At 68 yrs young I was around for it all
Sounds like a great trip. I looked up Western Maryland Scenic RR and couldn't find anything about it. How can I get info
Jess; Go to nikonusa.com. The next classes are at the BWI Marriot March 23 &24 2013. Good Luck
Thanks J, I live in western NJ, its about an hour train ride. If the classes are that good, then its worth the travel
I have an oportunity to go to the Nikon School, one day is for basic photography and the second day is for lighting etc. Is this a good investment or are the classes large and its catch as catch can with information
As a newbee, I'm in need of some assistants (opinions) on the best lense to use. I will be shooting a house party from the early evening till? There will be pics taken inside and outside with groups of people at tables (4 to 6) and random groups throughout the house. I have a variety of lenses to choose from, but some input would be helpful. I have a 24-70 F2.8; 10-24 F3.5 to 4.5 and 50mm 1.4. Thanks for the feedback
I also have a D7000 and the Tamron 10-24 does an excellant job.
I took MT's advice and bought the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 and it's as good as he said it would be. Best if used off a tripod
Since I bought all the stuff, why not carry it around?

Want to say THANKS for all the feedback. This is what makes this an awsome site.
Thanks for the feedback MT
About ready to make the plunge and purchase a 70-200mm 2.8 lens for my Nikon D7000. Go with the Nikon or save $1,700 and go with the new Sigma 70-200mm 2.8? Comments & Opinions please
I've done some photographing on the side since I retired and in most cases, with people you have relationships with I find it best to barter at the begining and if it works out for a long term relationship (with the real estate co.) then costs can come into the picture..Good Luck
I have always suspended my camera bag from the center of my tripod. You never know when the wind will kick up.
