Right now I have 30 photos selected from several hundred that have been shot. I am presently working with Blurb and have found that their pricing is lower than expected, so I may opt for 36 to 40. I would like the book to sell for $75 to $80.
Do you think anyone would buy the book as a download Ebook from Amazon (obviously at a much lower price)?

Sharpshooter,
I'm not clear by what you mean about Unfurling 'begs to be cropped,' Please clarify as this is the full uncropped image, just as it was shot.

Aha! Another punster join the fray. Thanks for your comment.
Aloha from the really deep South.

It has been some time since I last visited and posted on UHH, but I have not forgotten the site or the wonderful folks therein.
I am almost ready to complete my photo book and will have it printed within a week or so. Here are more unbeleafable shots of nature's bounty.

Have been using Sony cameras since 1997 and upgrading every 2 or 3 years. Now own and use the Alpha A-77 which is truly amazing. Noise is excellent for very large prints (24x30+) and at 1600 ISO very good. Camera has a hand-held twilight setting that is outstanding and takes multiple exposures and does an amazing job of handling highlights and shadows. Do consider the A-77 over the A-65, although both are great.
Love the electronic viewfinder and the 100% accurate view.
My go-to lens is the Sony (Tamron?) 18-250 Zoom. Very sharp and quite small when not extended. Have hand held for exposures of 1/25th with success on my better days (just made 80 years in May).
Would you believe? I have been into photography since my Navy days on Kwajalein in the 1950s and in digital since 3 megapixel days. Never noticed (or used) the lock tab on a memory card.
The wonderful part about this site is that there is always a new
thing or idea to learn, and sometimes truly stunning photos to inspire.
Aloha,
Dwain
During the 48 years we have lived in Hawaii my wife and I have visited the Punchbowl National Cemetary of the Pacific many times. It is a beautiful setting for America's fallen warriors: located in an extinct volcanic crater in the heart of Honolulu. For the first time this past Memorial Day we visited late in the afternoon and saw a completely different aspect of this sacred site. Boy Scouts put flags on all the graves and Girl Scouts add flower leis. Here are some of the pictures from our visit.

Have had no issues with studio flash and use a connecting cable or Wein slave triggers to fire the strobesl. Please be more specific about the problems.
Please check out the new Sony Alpha A-77 SLT camera and
see reviews on DPReview website. The Nikons are wonderful cameras but the A-77 has a number of features you won't
find on any other DSLR. Check out my topic posts and you will see pictures shot with the A-77 and prior A-700. If you wish, and supply your Email, I will send you pics from the A-77.
Very fine photo! How did you add the copyright and name caption? Is this from a software PP application?
this is the last of my collection of leaf photographs. I promise
not to post more and will turn my camera on other photogenic opportunities.

Nice set of photos. I would be very interested in your candid recommendations about companies that make custom photo books. I have posted three sets of photos of leaves on UHH
so you can see what I want to do.
More leaves to view and hopeful for more recommedations (based on experience) for companies that print custom photo books.

My favorite walk around lens is the 18-250 Tamron Zoom. It is the equivalent of a 27mm WA to 375mm Tele on an APC sized sensor. This lens is quite sharp and altho I have 11-17 WA, a 70-300 Tele and 90mm f2.8 Macro, 85% of my photos are taken with the 18-250. It is very sharp and if you have seen any of my photo posts on this forum, you can verify. The lens will focus from about 9 inches.
Thanks for your response! Purple Dreams photo is of real leaves. Found these in Ho'oMaluhia Botanical Park on the windwrd side of Oahu. My ony regret is that the plants were under an overhanging roof in a raised rock walled bed and the light was rather dim on a cloudy day. I did not boost the ISO and the shot is not as sharp as I would prefer.
