The first one is amazing. One of best I've seen here. Great timing for the tree color. I would have zoomed in on the arch and trees. I'd like to know when you were there. Was it shot from the viewpoint? Thanks!
FYI - Melk & Bratislava are on the Danube River.
Would you mind explaining how you got this effect? Thanks!
Yes I have sir. I'm in Europe for 4 weeks so had to act quickly. Found a store today outside Amsterdam & bought a new battery. Have not yet tried to check the "bad boy" in the camera via setup. Camera worked fine today (thank you Jesus) with Nikon battery. Went to the flower auction in Aalsmeer. Amazing place. Huge warehouse filled with buckets of flowers on automated & human moving carts zipping around like ants. The auction takes place in a large amphitheater. About 50-100 buyers at computers with many others online. Found out the flowers that don't sell are trashed. Will go to Keukenhof Gardens & the tulip fields on Friday. As a result of my battery experience, told my wife i needed a spare D810. Didn't go over well.
I think PixelStan is correct. Just looked at the battery again & it's not Nikon EL-EN15 but a B-3410 replacement from Watson made in China. Where did that come from! So, since the charger is acting goofy with this battery, makes sense that the battery is bad. Thanks ya'll!
Have an MH-25a charger specifically for the EL-EN15 battery. Don't see a calibration setting. The battery is now charging and the light is blinking rapidly. Normally when charging it blinks slowly.
I have been using the battery grip slot w/o a problem. Two days ago, I took the grip off & used the battery slot in the camera which I've not done before. Only took about 25 shots & the battery was drained. Overnight I took the battery out. I routinely turn the camera off when not shooting. I do use the LCD display. Battery has hardly been used. When I started out this morning, had 3 bars. Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.
Assuming you have a clear day, Wonder Lake for Mt Denali reflections. You are close to a small airport at the end of the road in Kantishna. Again if it's clear, they have evening flights around Mt Denali which will be lit up.
Goofy - Used to breed & show LH dachshunds in previous life.
Have new D810 and use CS5. Rather buy CC right away, downloaded the DNG converter for trial. Took handful of pics RAW 38-39KB. DNG files are 28-32KB. Created 1 PSD w/o any changes - 101KB. Did a little tweaking - 245KB. Also the image is 20.2 x 30.2".
Other than the RAW, are these file sizes normal? Am I losing anything by converting to DNG? Is the image size 20 x 30 the same if I were using CC?
Thanks!
