Had a wonderful time! Thanks everyone for the help!
Awesome! Thank you again for the help!
Willy, simply said... Thank you!
Peter,
Thank you! Do you know anything of Twin Lakes?
Thank you! It looks like we are going to fly into CO Springs Fri night then head to Twin Lakes for a morning sunrise shot there. Not sure where we will stay. I think Silverton is our next stop, possibly Crystal Mills while we are there. We don't have agenda for Sat day or Sunday yet so this is very helpful.
A friend and I are traveling to Colorado and would like any advice from fellow photographers for places we can shoot some dramatic landscape photography?
Current targets are:
Garden of the Gods
Twin Lakes
Silverton
Possibly Air Force Academy?
We will be there this coming weekend.
Not sure if you are still following this post, but you mentioned you are from Vancouver? We'll be there Friday - Tuesday of the following week. I'm hoping to find a place to shoot a twilight skyline of Vancouver and/or sunrise/sunset. Any ideas?
Also you mentioned places out of town? As I am a landscape photographer... mountains, water, etc.. anything in particular that would work well to show off the area would be awesome. I'm thinking of going to Squimish(sp?) to look for eagles, but mostly hunting landscapes. I also heard about Point Roberts?
I wonder how far Whistler is?
I will definitely have a car... Hoping for a place for a really nice landscape sunrise/sunset type of shot(s).
I'm heading to Vancouver Canada in April and would love any suggestions on places to go and photos to shoot. I really had a great experience with the advice shared by this forum for my Boston trip so I thought I'd see what everyone said.
Particularly if there are any places that lend themselves to early sunrise/sunset shots?
Thanks in advance!
Stephen

Question: Is an sunrise shot available for Old Ironsides? I'm wondering because it is a museum and has hours that don't start until 10:00. Curious if I could situate myself somewhere early before sunrise and be ready to a cool shot before the sun comes up?
Wow, I have to thank everyone for the tips.... I have to say it's overwhelming. Here's the kind of work I've done so far http://www.flournoyphotography.com
I think the old buildings and seascapes will be fascinating. At this time, we've settled on a duck tour when we get in on Friday, Wellesley College on Sunday morning until our plane leaves.
This leaves Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday to venture. Mind boggling trying to sort out an agenda...whew.
Since this is such an active forum, please forgive another question. I have rented a car (thinking I would want to drive for foliage shots.) Any idea where I might find an awesome foliage shot (assuming everywhere is not an option) ?? LOL.
Please, I'd love to see a picture of old ironsides!
