Shoot film and scan results and you have your “full-frame” camera for scenery work. Or get processing where they put photos on disk. I shoot b/w and process negatives only - just need a tank.

I use mine for exposure only, not WB. I trust my camera meter most of the time.

I use wi-fi to transfer photos from my D5500 to my iphone so I can email them. Works for me.

For all but the kids, I would look toward something in the 10-20 mm zoom range.

Same make and model to avoid confusion and learnig new body, and keep a lens on it and use it rather than in the bag. When working, I had a wide on one and a long on the other (before zooms). No time wasted or risk of changing lenses.

Use the sharper lens, 35 or 18-55. Set focus, ISO, WB to manual and use hyperfocal distance. Use a good tripod and a lens hood but no filters. Good luck!

I beleive it does not have a motor so lenses without one will not autofocus.

I just stay on my scooter and use an 18-250 zoom handheld. Since you will be out in mostly good weather and daytime, just try to keep your shutterspeed up.

If you have a swivel seat, rig a bi-pod assist to the armrests so it will stay in front of you and usable as you rotate the chair. That and a zoom lens should solve many/most problems as it did for me.

Still unable to lock the single point focus point to the center position. It moves if I accidentaly touch the multi-selector wheel.

I have checked both the Nikon manual and Busch’s book and read the previous posts on this subject. TIA for any help with this.

Wow is that supposed to make it easier to shoot stills at long distances?
I am a sailor and always had problems shooting on my sailboats.

I, also, use a mobility scooter. Most models have available for an optional rear basket. Mine is a wire 15x12x9" basket that holds my large camera bag and more. It cost $56. You should be able to purchase one at any time.

Same here! But you must leave the seat to access it as it swivals with the seat. Carry less stuff. 😂

If you send it for repair, it probably will not be back in time for your vacation.

Although there have been a number of good suggestions given....everyone has missed the most valuable resource. YOUR STUDENTS!

👍 Learn from them. Maybe even find a personal trainer.
