Corolyn, Sue, Walt et al, thank you for taking the time to look over my images and for your comments. I have been trying to perfect naturalisation of HDR for a while now and whilst the B&W is an obvious HDR execution the colour shot is, well to my eyes, not so obvious. I don't know if you have any experience with this type of processing but I am always welcome and open to advice. Paul

Thank you all - I am taking a lot more B& W images at the moment and enjoying the challenge. Particularly envisaging th e tonal range of a composition. Thanks once again - Paul

Hi Bmac, love the colours and the background does not phase me at all. However; I fell the vertical leaves seem to constrict the berries and give a tight "closed in/up" feel to the shot.

The composition trick I always use is to invert the image as this helps me reconsider the layout and the fall of light - especially useful prior to editing in Lightroom or such like.

JCBoy,

This exactly the answer I am looking for. This issue has been perplexing me for some time and if I had applied a bit more logic it may, and I emphasise the may, have eventually become apparent.

Thank you so much for your very helpful response.

HI, i am experiencing a problem which either emanates in my Olympus camera software or in Lightroom.

In a nutshell LR always displays the +/- EV Bias as 0.

I wondered if conversion of images to DNG on import may be the problem however; this is not the case as RAW files also display in the same manner.

All my images are taken using an OM1, manually using either auto or manual focus and the ORF (RAW) format. Settings in Lightroom are on to show EV Bias.

Finally, I understand that a number of cameras use AWB to compute EV bias and i was wonderefing if this is why LR shows the EV Bias as 0. i.e. The number that AWB Exposure Bias would be computed from.

Many thanks, in advance, for your thoughts and ideas/
