The Rangeley Lakes Region of Maine is truly spectacular. Moose are a common sight in the area but, as with most wildlife, sightings are unpredictable. Some mornings you can't drive 10 miles witout seeing 4-5 moose and then you can go days without finding one. The good thing about the Rangeley area is that even if you don't see a moose the region has some of the most scenic spots in Maine for you to photograph. You would not want to miss the "Height of Land" on Rt 17, or "Quill Hill" on Rt 16. There are float plane tours over Rangeley Lake and Mooselookmeguntic Lake as well as good views of the mountains surrounding the area. Nick Leadly is a great wildlife photographer and Registered Maine Guide who has a studioin Rangeley. Check out what he has to offer here: http://www.touchthewildphotos.com
Good luck wherever your trip takes you.

The sitting President after the 9-11 attacks was extremely busy responding to those attacks, not golfing at some resort and partying. This President did, however, make sure that he sent a delegation to Ferguson, MO to attend the funeral for Michael Brown.

Having lived and worked at ground zero for many weeks following the attack, I remember events of that time quite well. President Bush was, in fact secluded by the secret service in a top secret location for a few days after the attack. He then went about the business of Commander in Chief. If you research it you will find that, for security reasons, he was not at his ranch. The one thing we can all be certain of is that he was not playing golf with his political cronies, nor was he attending a fundraiser in lieu of carrying out his duties as President.

I don't know the reason that Nixon did not attend the General's funeral but I am quite certain that President Bush did not attend because he was dealing with a national emergency at the time, which I do believe is much more important than a round of golf. It seems the sitting President plays golf and attends fundraisers mor than any President in recent years. As for people saying what they think about Mr. Obama, they have that right to speak their mind, just as you do, under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. As I follow this thread I see a definite pattern. Those criticize Obama far outnumber those of you who defend him. I think that pretty much tells the story.

I don't have to get a life, I have a perfectly good one and I'm not a clown who feels she has to wear a stupid rubber nose unlike you. I'm talking about the constant slamming of this president. I just love the way you guys constantly go back to saying it's not racism. Right, old white men can't see this president succeed at anything, people like yourself are part of the problem. He's shown no respect and had he have gone to the funeral, you'd have shown distain for that too. I'm glad Biden didn't go either, I'm sure the "patriot" didn't care. Neither of them are running for office anymore, why should they try to please you and your ilk. Grow up!
I don't have to get a life, I have a perfectly goo... (show quote)

Everyone will show respect for the President when he does something to earn that respect.

Go to the card reader manufacturer's web site. It's very possible you can download new drivers needed to run the reader on Windows 8.1. The drivers are usually provided free of charge by most manufacturers.

Has he set any picture styles or done any tonal adjustments. Both will affect picture quality sometimes good, sometimes bad. If this was done even inadvertantly he can manually change them in the men or reset the entire camera to default settings.

There is nothing cute about a coyote. They can never be trusted. They are relentless predators who will kill and eat many other animals you might consider cute includig rabbits, deer and small children. They are also an effective vector for rabies. In short, steer clear and don't encourage them to stick around.

The region from the White Mts. nd up into Rangeley Maine is a wonderful place for photographing bote scenic vistas and wildlife. Keep your camera ready at all times with a good zoom lens. Wildlife from moose to bald eagles may appear at any time as you tour the area.

I'm just now getting into wildlife photography. Using a Canon 60-D I'm shooting through an EF-S 18 - 200 lens. I'm looking for something with a bit more reach. What are your suggestions for an AFFORDABLE Zoom Tele lens.
