Well what you can tell is wrong. NPS is there to serve the ones earning a significant part of their income with NIKON equipment. He does not. He is an amateur with expensive gear. This is not a comment on his character or worth as a human. From what he says, I think he is a great guy.

Stop with the stupid "holier than thou" crap and note the other NPS member agrees. Why on earth would anyone sponsor someone they don't know?

It's not crap , reed it again .
72yrs old , served in your arm forces too , just asking for a favor that won,t hurt or cost you anything .
Again sad .

No, it is Nikon PROFESSIONAL Services. You are not a professional and do not need the services the organization provides to support those whose earnings come from using their equipment. If the things you listed were really the only requirement, all you would need to do is send in the receipts for the gear for approval. The reason for the sponsor is for someone to verify you are indeed a working professional who earns money from his or her work and to evaluate that your work is of a reasonable professional standard.
No, it is Nikon PROFESSIONAL Services. You are not... (show quote)

So , holier than thou , what is the difference between a pro that earns allot and a pro that is not bothered about the money .
As far as i can tell the answer is nothing .
what are you going to loose , NOTHING .
Talk about being kind for the sake of it .
SAD.

He has professional equipment so another professional should sponsor him into an organization?

The OP doesn't show any of his work, says he doesn't get paid as a business and expects carte blanche help because he owns pro equipment.

I had a client who shot some photos with a Canon 1DX and wanted me to enhance them for art prints in his office. The composition and exposure on the whole set were atrocious and Photoshop wouldn't help without hours of work to get them half way decent.
There is no way deep pockets equates to professional expertise. A homeowner with a professional cook range isn't a professional chef because of the equipment. We have had clients that deck out their kitchen with top line appliances and yet eat out because they are not cooks.

Maybe the OP is a good photographer... but without any proof of that and not making his living through photography, why would a stranger risk their reputation within their professional organization?
Is obtaining the pro status of the NPS another accessory to his pro gear accumulation?
He has professional equipment so another professio... (show quote)

So if he shows us some great work will you sponsor him :?:

The answer to the question is a simple yes or no. Also, how many of you who are responding are members of the group? If any of you are just sponsor the guy. The term professional today really means doing professional work. He has the professional equipment so therefore someone just sponsor him.

I would if I could but I can't . I'm not a pro and never will be :(

Can you be a little more specific about what you mean and why you feel you are a victim? Perhaps your definition of malware differs from the generally accepted ones like "any software used to disrupt computer operation, gather sensitive information, or gain access to private computer systems". I haven't seen our heard of those types of activities here. Perhaps you meant adware, rather than malware.

Malwarebytes ,Avg and addblock , never have a problem .

Why?

I would go for a laptop , you will get higher spec , ram , processor , and hard drive .
Try to get a laptop with a SSD drive , min 16GB RAM .
The main reason I would get a laptop is more accuracy when using PP .
You have the use of the pointer , where with a tablet most things are done on screen with your finger .
I would think this would not be ideal on a tablet , but could be wrong .
