Thanks Everyone for your replies. I made it home late last night and my husband fixed both cameras with a series of movements on the display/iso dial and hitting ok in the center of the dial. Man am I grateful. I do appreciate everyone's input. Have a fabulous day

I always reformat in camera prior to use of any card going into camera.
I don't reuse cards I keep them with original images on them and replace when full or end of trip.
Each camera has its own new card everytime one fills up.

My full size didn't work either but that may be because the camera's are frozen but I put it in both to no avail.

They were cheaper twice the storage for same price. I've used them before with no issues. Not sure now.

Ok, everyone with a technological brain that I do NOT have. seems everything I touch that is electronic eventually does not continue to work. Tobias Gelston and Sony and Techno peeps please help.
I am in Hawaii using my A73 and A6000 everything fine until this morning I get an error code that says Reinsert the memory card that you were using. I did.

Then another code Writing to memory card was not completed correctly. Recover Data Slot 2 (my slot 1 does not work with the new cards) enter/cancel... I selected enter.
Then another code. .. Execute? this may damage data that was added or edited on another device. Enter/cancel.

I took out the card and inserted another one to not lose the photo's. Same codes on next 6 cards.
All brand new Micro SD 64gb from Costco. All I did previously was format them in the A73 before leaving home..... Went to A6000 and within 10 minutes same thing. The regular cards do not work either.

Now neither camera works. I cannot use the Menu to factory reset. None of the buttons work. 2 dead cameras.

Do I dare put the cards into my computer to get the photos off of them. Luckily I did every night so just today is lost. But if the cards are infected somehow will it mess up my computer too.

In Iceland 2 weeks ago the non Sony batteries would not work in the A73 and they always have before. So confused. Maybe all this is a sign.

Hoping they just need to rest but I really am not using them that much as I am here with my Family, its been raining, and dad spent half the day in the ER due to a tumble. So no overuse but have been using rapid fire for waves. But I was not near the water for spray
