Thinking of selling my Fuji and Pentax systems and down sizing to a Sony RX10 4 and maybe the Ricoh GR 3. I have a lot of money invested in my gear but just don't shoot as much as I used to. The longer I hang on to it the less it will be worth, seems like a waste. Has anyone done this and been happy or regretful.

I am always happy when I sell something. Money comes in, and something I don't want goes out. It'as a win/win. Go for it!
I'm doing it but we dont get much for second hand gear . no matter how good it is, in NZ. I went for the Sony 6300 and just recently bought the Sigma MC-11 converter so I can use my Canon lenses on it otherwise I would have to buy lots of new lenses too.

Jerryc41 said it all. Do it.

If I decide to do it I think the worst part will be trying to sell 20 plus items, could be a pita.

NEVER sell a thing unless your food, shelter and clothing fund runs out...... Don'y you enjoy going back to 20 and 30 year old stuff and play around ? You will NEVER get your money back so why bother ? I have NEVER sold anything; its just kept out of sight of the missus....
My Missus has much better vision than I have so that wouldnt work for me MrBob haha

I have a RX10M4 and can't say enough great things about it. But I still held onto my full frame Nikon gear. My experience is that the Sony cannot substitute for the Nikon.
My goal for the Sony was to get a small package - high end camera, high end lens, and the best IQ possible in a small sensor. It checks all the boxes. But it has it's limitations. If you have APSC gear, then it will be less of a compromise.
A few weeks ago I bought a 90mm lens. Then last week I bought an 85mm lens. Is that downsizing?
Downsizing your wallet contents for sure

Yep. The last one was new, so the old wallet’s pretty flat now!

That's my style too. The few things I have passed on, 50/50 on regreting it.
Have found as you get older your first instincts are often best (assume from sub-conscious experience) so I would say go for it. When I buy something I get to use it. If later I think about how much money I have invested that is even a stronger reason to move on - I apparently did not get the value out of it I first imagined. So it will only "hurt" for that instant you let go, then buy something new you want.
I too use to "shelf" stuff thinking I would go back to it than realized those are people trying to hold on to the past. Life is in the present and future, the past should be for memories not old crap. (You are correct - none of it will be worth more later).

I have to sell stuff. I have no room left in the house, garage or my safe!
