Yes. I'm using an older EF zoom (red dot) on a T2i and it fits. Even the auto focus works.
If your camera can accept filters you will want to get a circular polarizer filter. The example pictures below show how well glare and reflections can be reduced through water and other non metalic surfaces (glass). They're also great for enhancing clouds and sky when shooting at 90 degrees from the sun. Oddly you do not get the same effect when point towards or away from the sun.
