I just upgraded from a Rebel XSi to the 60D and can't be more pleased. I like the larger body and the quick access to most of the controls that I need. I really don't think you could go wrong with either option, but I like the "heavier" camera that is more sealed since a lot of my pictures are taken in a dusty environment.

Like all the photos. The one of the baby and birthday cake - if you could lighten up the deep shadows just a bit without doing anything else it would bring out a lot of detail in the baby's face.

In lightroom is there a way to do that without washing out the entire picture? Or do I need to get a more serious program for that? Right now all I do is play with the exposure a little in light room and on the black and white ones shown I just click the black and white button.

Thank you......this is the first time I've played with black and white in lightroom, so any pointers to better my photography are welcome.

These are some random pictures I just edited in the last couple of weeks. Wanted to get some opinions on them and what I could do to make them better. Thanks in advance for the help.

I haven't been to Chuy's in Waco yet....I'm sure I will before the football season is over though. Sorry for the temporary thread jacking.
