Very nice set. Hoping to get out there one of these days.
After a 10 mile hike I took a nap on a rock with my head resting on my pack. The glare from the sun woke me so i shot it.
It wasn’t easy to get them in position. Unruly group that would rather be hiking or joking around.
Great image. Nicely done.
Thanks everyone. Mother Nature did all the heavy lifting here. This park has breath taking vistas you can experience up close and personal without having to hike in, as well as the towering walls of the inner canyon. BBF (back button focus) was very helpful shooting two images hand held at different focus points.
Thank you. It is very difficult to capture the canyon’s beauty and size in a picture.
Thanks. Wish i had My tripod... next time.
So here are a few more images of our Grand Canyon Adventure.
Thanks everyone for stopping in to take a look and for the positive feedback. There were a few requests for more so I will post a Grand Canyon Adventure Part II. I did not want to bore everyone with vacation pictures but for those who made the trip once upon a time and those who wished they had I will post a few more. Anything to brighten spirits these days.
By the way, we just made it by two weeks...Phantom Ranch is now closed as well as accommodations on the South Rim.
It must feel wonderful to hike again. Welcome back. Looks like a nice area to hike from your photos. Be well.
It is a gorgeous park. I understand about the time and age thing. It took 4 years to win the Phantom Ranch lottery to stay 2 nights. Probably would have been easier 4 years ago. I must admit, it was easier hiking 10.3 miles out than the 8 miles down. Knees and calves. I will post more photos tomorrow.
