Check out BenQ monitors at B&H - great values for a hardware calibrated monitor.

I have been looking at BenQ PD2700; it looks pretty good. Thanks, Bill

My monitor crashed !
I am looking for suggestions for a new 27 inch 4K Monitor.
I am using a fairly up to date Mac Mini.
Thanks!

I have had no problems with glasses at all. I do have bifocals now, and also have had tri' in the past. There seems to be no problems. This was about 20 years ago.
I do think it would be a challenge to keep changing from far to near; you don't need to.
Good luck with whatever you do ! Bill

Well, I would go for the glass. Then get an out of date camera like the Nikon 750.

There is a middle ground, at least with Nikon. You can adjust your frame to show your photo area or you can adjust to cover all it can. That could be handy for panoramas and very vertical photos. Even Squares!

LR5 corresponds with Lightroom Classic, the ongoing, desktop-based, full-function digital image edit & library management software. On your desktop / full-function laptop where LR5 resides, you want to download and install LR Classic when you become a subscriber. When the LR Classic software installs and starts the first time, LR Classic will detect and prompt you to import your existing LRCAT file into an entirely new LRCAT file.

The LR CC software also comes with the subscription. This software is intended for your mobile device / tablet. You can 'share' images between your Classic software and the CC software by creating a 'shared' collection inside LR classic. Images in this shared collection are passed between the Classic catalog and your LR CC-enabled device via the limited cloud store that comes with your subscription. This storage is intended for temporary communication, not a full replication of the entire contents of your 'classic' LRCAT file.

Do not confuse LR CC as the replacement for LR Classic. And yes, the subscription is the only method to obtain 'LR Classic'. It's been this way since Dec 2017 when LR6 was discontinued.

Kind of expensive, but works.
tilt shift lens

Didn't check too well. this is already mentioned.

You have to have the camera level, then adjust the tilt to get your full picture.

Yup, you can sort of see around corners with the shift. The back and foregrounds will be a little different.

Hi, DBFalconer. Just a quicky. You were on a bus; they may have polarized windows. If you have a polarizer on your camera, you could black out the light. You might get some light. Check out the verticals and the horizontals. At least one of these should be okay if it is a polarizer problem.

Hi all; I am an 86 1/2 year old who has a bit of a problem walking. Accordingly, I do not do much photographing anymore. So, I would like to express my appreciation and thanks for the photos you folks are posting. You are therefore doing the traveling for me, that I can longer do. I also love the birds, creatures and flowers that you allow me to see. I doubt if you appreciate what you are doing for us seniors, but thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi, Stach. I am catching up with you (80) and it is getting difficult to get around. I am managing and still enjoy shooting. It us nice to be able to see other's photographs as well; there are a lot of ideas in them.

Very good suggestions. You can also use a light (mike, etc) stand to tie branches etc. That'll speed up the slow down!
