Not hard... I did it for decades. You need a Lloyd Bulk Film Loader and reusable film cartridges (Kalt), all available at B&H, along with bulk film. Masking tape is used to secure the film to the spool in the cartridge.

Plenty of videos on YouTube show you how to do it.

If you want to consume large quantities of the addictive film drug, this is the way to do it.

Thanks for info burkphoto

Actually, it's quick and cheap.

I roll my own film.

$39.00 for 100 feet (about 20 rolls of 36 exposure)

I develop my own film (HC110 is $20.00 for a liter, I haven't even made a dent in it in the 6 or 8 months i've been developing.)

The whole thing costs me about 1.50 for the film and about .50 cents for developing.

I scan my negatives and they go up on FB or Flickr or wherever. My scanner was expensive but I can scan a whole roll of negatives in one shot in about 5 minutes.

I can shoot, develop and scan in a matter of about 1.5 or 2 hours.

It's the benefit of how film looks, while having the advantage of shooting digital...instant gratification! :)
Actually, it's quick and cheap. br br I roll my o... (show quote)

Difficulty of rolling your own film ? Anything I need to buy for this process? I ask because recently dug out a F100 Nikon sitting in back of closet for number of years, in very good condition, was going to sell it, now i am considering using for black and white. Thanks for any information.

If i were he i would have hired a Lawyer and sued everyone especically the interfering Barber. The problem is that they banned him and he was denied the due process of law.

I agree police looked thru his camera found nothing criminal, drop it. Iunderstand as a society must be vigilant, for any threat. If suspicious activity persists, investigate if he is doing something criminal gather evidence, convict, and then stomp on his guts.

He said its free

Well said comrade.

That's EXACTLY why he should. Because we live in a country that presumes innocence and then requires proof of guilt.

The logic about not doing things because someone may disapprove never made sense to me.

How about the first amendment? Ring any bells? The right to a free press shall not be abridged? Free speech?

Every time we shrink away, the line moves farther towards not having those rights.

Agree, today must be bash willie day, however "stopped by police" title overreach

I recommend a used Nikon 28mm. W high quality sensors, you can always crop an image and 28 is good for interiors, street photography and travel in general. Might consider a 90mm or 85 next for portraiture and for sports and such! Zooms are also very good and will cover a wider range in one lens, but are generally slower unless you spend a lot! Primes in the f2.8 range are affordable.

In regards to 28, just purchased a used 28 f/1.8 G from Keh for 549.00 no box but can not find a smudge on it anywhere and checking serial its fairly. I think new they are 699.00

Sorry if addressed already, have not read every reply. On comparable bodies, f/2.8 max vs f/4 max lens, does f2.8 in zoom or prime autofocus faster ?

One of Nikons websites explained grey market similar to Genes explanation which was a good one. I was not aware of the buying overstock items, and selling at too good to be true prices. Are there more issues with these dslrs, because they are grey and why, if assembled at same facility as a USA Nikon warranty dslr ?
