To whom it may concern,
I am a 30 year friend of Richards, he goes by harclod, here on this forum. Since he left his this forum with himself still logged on, I thought I would let everyone who were friends with Richard know that he passed away Saturday afternoon from another major heart attack, about 2 hours away from his home. He told me he was going on another trip to find barns to photograph. We do know that he decided to stop his chemo treatments, but don't know if that had anything to do with his passing, although he wasn't feeling well when he left town.
The sheriff found his body in his vehicle along the side of the road. I and a friend went up to retrieve his equipment and his vehicle on Sunday after receiving a call from the sheriff department.
Richard was a wonderful person, caring and loving everyone he came in contact with. The type of person who would give you the shirt off his back, or his last meal if you needed it. He truly loved everyone he knew and will be missed very much so.
To all who knew and cared about Richard, may you keep him in your memory for all eternity. He is now with his Savior.
God Bless everyone here that were friends with Richard. He talked quite frequently about many of you here on this forum.
Peace be with you all, and thanks for truly being his friend.
There will be no service for him per his instructions in his will.

I LOVE barns. These are great! I've started a folder specifically for them.
I would like to know what you plan to do with your "file folder" of my copyrighted photos?
This is the last in this series. I need to rest up so I can hopefully make at least one more trip before I crash and burn. Enjoy.

I was wondering if anyone would catch that.

  Thanks
Two for the price of one, well ok, a barn and a shed.
If anyone knows the history of the little hick town of Baker City, Oregon, as you enter town from I-84 heading south all the way through town, all you see are old turn of the century buildings and shops, etc. Looking off to the west a few blocks, this monster rears it's head above the tree tops and sticks out like a sore thumb.
Don't get me wrong, I like the style and architectural design, but it just doesn't fit it's surroundings, in my opinion.
South and west of Haines, Oregon just off the Scenic Highway and down a dirty gravel road.
Red roof barn outside of Haines, west towards the Elkhorn Range.
I tried to get closer to this hawk, but everytime I moved closer, she flew off. As soon as I backed up, she came back. Tried to get out of vehicle to get my tripod set up, again, she would fly off. So..........I stayed in my van, rolled down the window and took this as best I could. I agree, it's not very good, but I don't usually take bird shots, I'm too jittery!! Don't download, cause it looks like *^<"\it.
Enjoy for what it's worth.
As I was headed south out of Haines, Or. heading south to Baker City, Or. I was met by this coming at me. Ok, it's not a barn, sorry!!
And what's a park without squirrels.
I took this picture earlier this spring. Just now brought it up for editing and look what I discovered that I didn't see when I snapped it.
