Looks like you are an accomplished concert photographer. Well done.
I sincerely thank you! I've been at this a long time, only recently have I gone professional, and it is going Grrrrr-EAT! :)

These are from the 60th birthday party concert of a music legend, Rick Carter. He had 21 other musicians playing with him, beginning with folks he started playing with in the early 60's, plus all iterations of EVERY band he's fronted were there. I was the photographer, as well I'm producing the live CD release and a DVD of the event. Huzzah! Rick's the bearded gentleman playing the Les Paul.
Y'all bring up an interesting point regarding my titling of the work, and my view of it. "Rot" has always been my reference word for subjects such as this, and what I have always referred to it as. However, within this forum is the only time I have subjected my work, as titled, to other *photographers* rather than the "general public". That this is, so far, universally agreed upon by y'all as not a very accurate descriptive word, I shall effort to re-think this as for how I refer to it in the future, I appreciate this being pointed out. Any suggestions, other than already stated?
"Rot", so to speak, is a life-long fascination of mine, and a favorite subject to photograph. Not much market in it, to be sure, but rot as art is something I just won't give up on! :) Here are a few from the other day, a fellow photographer and I spent the morning exploring some alleys in Birmingham, AL.

Thank you all so much, your input is very gracious. I've been lurking and learning from y'all, great forum here! :)
I failed to read the rules of this section, and apologize! If a mod could move this to the appropriate section, I would be most obliged.
Hi all, new to the forum and glad to be here! I am a professional photographer, specializing in music photography, however I do shoot anything! I also have a love of "art photography", crowd photography and photographing the minute, the "rot". I'd like to submit a few representations of what I do along these lines, seeking your input on them in general. I have a universal signature as to how I frame, focus and process pictures so I guess what I'm seeking is your opinions on this, on how I "do the thing I do". I do appreciate your critique, and thank you for your time!
I really like the premise of your project, very cool!

Welcome to the Hog! Most concert/band photos I dont like due to the lighting, but these you nailed it. Well done!
Thank you, very much! That's sort of "my thing", I'm known 'round these parts for my light usage/manipulation at live music events. I'd love for you to browse the shots I have up on my site and see what do you think. :)
Hi all, new to this forum and just would like to say hello! Looks like some great folks and resources here! I'm a life-long photographer who's jumped with both feet into the business of photography, primarily as a live music photographer. Nice to be here.
