I've lost count of how many times I have watched this video and it still brings tears to my eyes every time. Just amazingly beautiful!

Several months ago I was contacted by the National Wildlife Federation. They had seen one of my photos and indicated they wished to use it as part of an upcoming story in their magazine.
I had forgotten all about until last week when a copy of the current magazine arrived in the mail.
They did use this photo of a white ibis.
For anyone who might see the magazine it's in the April/May edition that has bluebirds on the cover.

Following the standard formula, they should be at least 5/8ths as good! LOL

HOT FLASH!!
Sigma just posted a 50-500mm Bigma on their Factroy Refurb inventory. I doubt it will last long at this price!

Well poop! If I had only waited a little longer. Oh well my 150-500 will be here sometime today. Waiting.... waiting... waiting..... Oh I think I hear a truck coming down the road.... gotta run........ again......

WELL??????

Yippee! It's here! Pretty much ran over the UPS driver to get over to my pond to try and catch a shot at the ducks. Alas.... ducks were off meandering eleswhere. I had to settle for my resident geese, who by the way were not impressed that I didnt have their cracked corn with me. Didnt stay long, as it was colder than a witches toe and the wind was about to blow me back home.
Here are the first two shots. Keep in mind, done very quickly. No edits... as is.
After a little work on myself I think I'm gonna love this lens!
Now just gotta figure out how to explain to the hubby where this big lunker came from :?

Looks very nice! Just practice with your camera settings and experiment. I found the best results on my D7000 with the Saturation and Sharpness both kicked up 1 full notch.

Thanks for the tip Mt. I'm using it on a D90. Hopefully will get a chance to play with it more tommorow, if the weather cooperates.

Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this lens tomorrow. I see B&H is 1069.00. Adorama has a little bundle with a uv filter, and cleaning kit (dont know how good they are) for the same money. Im sure that the day after I order, they will go on sale

I will be fine as a follower in this case ;) Fear not , i will have this picture in my head of you guys hitting the " track shipment " button so many times that you will have to go get another keyboard

Well tommorow I have my granddaughters to keep me busy all day, so that's one day I won't have to think about it. After they leave will be another story. Already getting my trigger finger ready. :P
