I shoot Raw & JPEG, can easily view jpegs quickly looking for rejects / keepers.

thanks for your reply. I will try what you suggested. I have renamed the files in camera, now starting with 852.
What happened was my sequence started with 851 prefix in camera, when it got to 8519999 it went back to 8510000. I wanted the sequence to continue with 8520000. I wanted to rename the images on the computer, Windows operating system, not in the camera. I should have been more attentive when it got close to 8519999 but I forgot as I was digitizing slides at the time. Thanks anyway.
