And being farsighted with glasses the view screen allows me to focus manually better. The eyepiece even on my 7DII is hard to focus though with glasses on.

I have the G7xII. Took it to Hawaii along with my 7DII. Have great pictures with the G7. Almost as good as the 7DII. And it's smaller, lighter and can fit in my purse or pocket. It's my go to camera for events where I don't want to take the heavier 7DII. And the no eyepiece was no problem, actually a plus. The articulating view screen allowed me to take pictures from most any angle without stooping or trying to step up on something.

And the Canon G7X has a tilt LED screen that I can angle to get a better look and reduce sun glare problems. Has touch spot focusing on the LED too.

That's Mark II. Hate auto correct sometimes.

I really like my Canon G7X Mark OK. Always take it with me, along with my Canon 7D Mark II, and have often used it when I don't want to carry my big baby. And it offers a lot of the options you find on the big DSLR cameras. Take videos and zooms. Just took 4th fireworks with its speciality fireworks setting. Forgot my tripod (dummy), but still took fantastic clear images resting it on the arm of my chair and a 2 second delay. Also has WiFi capability.

I just bought a Canon G7X (4.2x, IS, 8.8-36.8mm, 1;1.8-2.8). So far I really like the size and sharpness of all my images. I can do almost everything my mammoth Canon 7D does without the weight and lens changing for those days I don't want to carry the 7D and lens around.

Went to the mountainSmith website and the bag is Descent for $99. My Canon 7D had a battery pack attached on my German trip too.

My son bought me a Mountainsmith bag at the recommendation of a professional rockclimbing photographer. It's a backpack/sling format that I can swing to the front to access without taking it off my bag. Traveled 2 weeks in Germany and loved it. Carried my Canon 7D and 2 lenses with extra batteries. Great bag.

You mentioned purchasing the Canon extender and using it on AOL your existing lenses. Just pulled up the extender manual to refresh my old, forgetful memory. You can only use these extenders on your telephoto 70-200mm. Won't work on the other lenses you have. Google "Canon extender 1.4x manual" and you'll find with which lenses they're compatible.

Have the 1.4x extender and it works fine when lighting is good and when I use a tripod. Hard to handhold steady otherwise and get a sharp picture.

Just received a newsletter from B&H that explained all the letters and numbers on SD and CF cards. Good article. Check their website.

Both Photoshop Elements 10 and Lightroom 4 have a straightening option most often used to make a horizon straight but also for any picture that was not on the horizontal when taken. Don't know if that option is in older Photoshop versions. No matter the leaning, your picture is really great nighttime and reflection photo. Good shot.

Good online course for Lightroom at ed2go through my community college. Really good course. Also took Adobe Elements course online through ed2go. Now I know how to use both programs. They complement each other. Elements offer more editing options.

Great shot. The ferris wheel look like it's leaning. You could try straightening the wheel. Not the reflection. See how it looks.
