No. Took battery out and put on table. Charger stays plugged in. Thank you. I thought about that.
Thank you. Received many feed backs. Will try all. I have new spare battery.
Just bought Canon G16. Charged battery and did not put in camera yet. Battery charger was then in yellow and a had to recharge. This was next morning with no pictures taken. Have spare unit but looks I like may have a problem with battery not holding charge when taking pictures. Have a 40D but wanted the G16 for quick pictures. Any advice out there? Thank you, Fred A
Sad there are people like that. Wonder what she did to other people involved with affair. I'm an electrical contractor and was called in to a house as their son in law almost burnt the house down. Spent two hours there and charged them $200.00. The said only going to pay $100.00 as it was their son in laws fault. As I left the house I past their 3 brand new Caddy's in garage I was perplexed. I have walked into other peoples house many times and have seen they had real financial problems and charged them nothing. In your case she wanted it for free. A photographer is a big expense and well worth it. Wonder if other girl was a figment of her imagination. Thanks for the good lesson. The worst people to work for is friends and family. Just let it go. Karma is real "what goes around comes around". If this was a wedding, the Groom already has a problem. Just asking "did they feed you"?
47 greyfox: Received your message. Thank you for the quick response. I will look into the 380EX and 270EX flash. Agree that there will be very few times needed but you never know. Can always go to my 40D in that situation. Have a great day and Thanksgiving. Always good to see your feedback. Fred A
47greyfox: Will look up in AM Monday. The 430EX is kind of large for the G16. Thought G16 would be a little larger
Have Canon G16 and some other parts. Ordered from B&H in NYC. Have used them before as well as others. Ordered late in afternoon and received 10:AM the next day with no shipping charge. Only problem I see so far, is that it's smaller then I thought it would be. But then again, that is what I was looking for. Battery charging and will try out. Still have my EOS 40D always ready with all it's lenses. Thanks for all your comments out there.
Hey SS: I don't have to be worried about that. She left for a guy in prison and she ended up there also. I could write a book.  Belong to a lot of groups on line now. Fred A
TracyT4: Usually leave heavy bag in car. That makes me one half a man.
TomV: Only problem is that I have many Canon lens from very wide to a EF 70-200 1:2.8 L IS. Kind of stuck with Canon. Thanks for the suggestion. Fred A
redfox: Will definitely look into the Megagear case bag. Have to fit just the G16, spare batteries and flash in it. Thanks again. Fred A
achesley: Maybe I will keep camera in a heavy duty Ziplock freezer baggy to help prevent scratches. Thank you the advise on the scratch issue. Fred A
Hi Rodbolt. I got stuck in the middle with 40D. Had it two months then 50 and 60D came out. Have to many Canon lens in order to change brand. The 40D has Mirror Lockup. This is a very good site to be a member of. Looking for a point to shoot and received 5 members with suggestions and made my decision. Unique Camera in NJ and H&B in NYC have been my place to purchase equipment. Fred A
achesly: Thanks for the come back. Thought they come with lens cap. Have a very old Olympus Camedia C-5050ZOOM and has lens protector. At times I forget to take it off and lens will not come out. Got it in 2002. Also use a Canon EOS 40D with multiple lens. Good advice. Will make sure I keep body facing down. Have a good day on the bike. Fred A
greyfox. Thanks. That is just what I needed to finish up the purchase. Still have my EOS 40D and always ready to go. With all the lens, I have to use two bags. Thanks again, Fred A
