I mostly use B& H for all my gear and I love them. Never had a disagreement or anything with them over the years. Once I ordered a camera online and when it was delivered it was damaged. I’m lucky I live in NYC so I took the camera to them and in 5 minutes had a brand new camera in my hand. I’ve sold them many cameras along with lenses again never had a problem. That’s my 2 cents worth of experience.

I just bit the bullet and purchased the new Canon R system. I’m getting used to the camera and it feels great in my hand. I got the kit lens with the adapter. I will keep everyone posted.

Hi,
Yes the objective is to get DOF, everything in the foreground and background must be in focus. I was told not to crop, not to PS, not to do anything to the shot. I'm going out again tomorrow to try again. I've taken everyones replies here into consideration so I feel more confident in getting this shot done!

thanks to all for their help

Hi MT,

I was told that F22 was a good F stop to use, however, I will try F16 tomorrow morning. No filter was used I removed it. The light was low because it was raining that day. I am hoping that this rain lets up so I can try again.

Thanks for your advice

I learned that a really expensive camera is not necessary at all. You can use a pin hole camera and get beautiful shots. It is all in the how you use the F stop, ISO, and shutter speed that matter.

I my humble opinion

Ok I have an assignment in my class to get a landscape shot sounds easy enough...not. I have a good tripod, good camera, good lens, I have a cable release and I can not for the life of me get a sharp picture!!! I'm shooting with a D800, 80-200 2.8 lens F-stop at F22 on a strong tripod. What can be the issue as to why my shots are soft? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you in advance

just ignore the sassy people out there and read the people who truly want to help. That's what I do.
