Since the leaves and flowers were added by the artist can we say this was paintingshopped instead of photoshopped.

Beautiful shot. I'm envious of your butterfly bush. We're overwhelmed (almost) with Monarchs now. Milkweed & what I call 'purple fuzzy stuff' keeps them happy.

I remember that silly Triffid movie. A good reason to scream and hide in your boyfriend's arm!

Love the painting. I paint in watercolor and the medium is tricky.

YES, they are also VERY QUICK to increase the price 20 cents, but VERY slow to lower it back down 12 cents. If we were washing their cars or mowing their lawns and increased their cost 20% each year, they would have a sh#t fit. We have no choice, pay or walk.

Ask the people who live near fracking about natural gas coming out of their faucets. You won't see that in any clean energy commercials. And don't believe the BS about clean coal, there's no such thing. Just another snow job by the profit hungry scumbags running this country.

Ask the people in North Texas about earthquakes. I lived in Dallas my entire life until about 15 years ago. There NEVER was an earthquake. Recently there were three. A year ago there was an earthquake in Sherman... Fracking.

Doesn't it occur to anyone that the price of gas has everything to do with the oil companies and their persistent greed? That's why they buy politicians... There's nothing everyday people can do except hope an alternate is found and soon. Keystone is presently ramming their pipeline through Lamar County, Texas. Tar sands to be refined and exported. All the way from Canada to the Texas Gulf Coast... Gee thanks..

Gorgeous. Don't think we have those in Texas!

This butterfly never gets very far from the seacoast in its normal range. It's range includes coastal Texas.

You are fortunate to live in an area (Texas) that has an uncommonly high number of butterfly species.

Thanks for taking a look!

Bob

Oh wow... I'll have to have my friend Jan be on the lookout for those. I'll be looking for their host plant. I keep parsley, mexican butterfly bush and purple passion vine for different ones. I'll get Jan to plant some down there for the Long Tail Skipper. I had a great black swallowtail in my garden this spring but the pic isn't very impressive.

I see that you were able to photograph the rare, Double-Dot Butt spider. Well done!
I don't know if that's supposed to be funny, but it is...... I'm from Texas also and we don't have those in our area.
