well for landscapes you don't need f2.8 so unless you want to use a wide angle for other use like house interiors that should help keep the cost down.

How right you are everything has to be hyped up and overdone. People say there's a blizzard or a whiteout when really it just snowed. Seems photo editing has to be extreme or grungy. What ever happened to just capturing the moment as we saw it?

I wear varifocal glasses, and am confused about advice on setting the Diopter as to whether to wear glasses or not? I have seen advice on both, so what experience do have members on the Hogg have, and what recommendations do you have? Thanks.
I have the same problem as you i set diopter for without glasses bot now have a neck cord for my glasses so i can take them off and on easily without loosing them or them getting in the way.

No one has said the magic words yet; "Manual Focus" for the lens. Auto focus can pick up on impurities on the glass, glare, or the glass itself.

This is the key instruction. Manual focus and a rubber lens hood up against the glass.

If you are in need of better results for your iso - noise reduction go full frame.
If you are ok in good light mostly and want to increase the effective focal length of your lens. eg a 200mm lens on a DX crop factor camera becomes a 300mm lens. However if money and weight are not an issue then Full frame seems the way to go.
