We've got to get you out of your shell. You've got to learn to be very gentle with idots, other wise you heart their feelings.
A lot depends on the image. Most of my scenic shots look better "To Me" in the 9X16 format. Some micro and close-up look good in 1X1. Just what ever looks good to YOU. Ole Jer.
I recently purchased a SX-50 and have a few comments. It's best to underexpose 1 to 2 stops for detail in whites, as it has little range. But I'm learning how to use and process the images. I purchased the camera as a spare for hiking and the trunk of my motorcycle. Only shot 200 exposures, but starting to finally like it.
Still shoot with my 5D Mkll most times, but am getting used to the little SX-50.
Marvin, Same age,, near same experience. Haven't seen any blur/motion images of interest to me. Daytona Beach.
We are artist's! Any photographer shooting in RAW is an artist, who only uses a camera as a recording device.
That said, this my first post on your site, but like your comments.
