I own the FZ-1000 an usually shoot in the P mode. I choose this mode because it allows you to go in the menu and set the sharpening, contrast, saturation of colors to your liking rather than what the camera chooses. I really like the 4K video for grandchildren playing ball as you can choose 8mp pictures from the clip. Hope this helps.
I have a 12.9 iPad Pro 2018 250 gig. I bought the Western digital WiFi 3tb storage drive for mine. It has a USB Or SD car slot so you can take sd card out of your camera and download your pictures direct to WD hard drive. But most of the time I use a USB adapter which plugs in my charging port on my iPad and download pictures direct from my camera.
I’ve never used card readers to download my pictures. I download my pics direct from camera through a USB adapter. Plug your camera in with USB adapter, go to photos or whatever program you want turn camera on choose which photos you want and download. Hope this helps.
I have a USB adapter for my iPad so I plug my camera’s usb cord which came with my camera in to the adapter go to photos on my iPad then turn on the camera. I have a canon and also a Panasonic. They both work great.
