I'm lucky I get to see cows every day, It's a good life. I made a post about a 73 year old lady who works cows every day, you might like it, buckaroo on photo gallery.

I did like it kabouey! I would not like to be where she was standing in #5, that bull doesn't look very happy! Thanks for looking at mine! :D

Cj - may I ask what lens you used for these? I've had a request from a close friend for me to take a portrait type shot of a cow for her to enlarge & hang on her wall. I've tried numerous times without luck. The longest lens I have is a 300mm & my thought is that I'm going to need a 600mm to get what I'm looking for. Either that or I need to be in the field with them but I'd feel strange knocking on a farmers door to ask for permission to enter his pasture to photograph his cows.
These are good by the way.

Hi Walt! Thank you! I used a 300mm lens I'm afraid, so that doesn't really help you does it? I only stopped to take photos of them because they were so close to the fencing, so I was able to get close up. Maybe, you could do that? I'm sure if you ask, farmers wouldn't mind you going in the field but be careful! Not a good idea to get trampled for the sake of your art!
:D

Great shots!

Number two is my fav, it looks like those cows are contemplating a trip down that road.

I like the black and white "pinto" at the end as well. She must have picked up something rather tasty.. and is licking her lips.

Thank you TheeGambler! Yes, I was pleased I managed to get the tongue shot and number 2 is my favourite too :-)
