The PC is getting old (6years) and I suspect the graphics card could be the culprit. Will dig into the suggestion. Thanks.

Thanks for the encouragement, I guess that is where I may end up. I always hesitate because my previous experiences have always turned into lengthy ordeals. Although, I’m considering waiting 30 days or so until Adobe resolves some of these issues and then I will download once again. In the interim just keep the previously most recent version that I’ve been using.

Recently updated Photoshop to the recently released newest version. Have never had any previous Photoshop issues. Program opens but whenever I try to open a photo (any photo) or complete any instruction (even close program) I get the following message “could not complete your request because of a program error“. I have uninstalled and reinstalled still not working. Any thoughts?

RGG - thanks for the "workflow". A good way to approach my problem.

Thank you very much to all who provided suggestions regarding the issue. I don’t know what I clicked or how I did it, but I closed out of and reopened Lightroom about four times and all at once it started to work. Sort of like when your PC goes haywire, turn it off and unplug it and then restart LOL. Thanks again.

When in the library module of LR, all of my folders and images are there and visible on the PC screen. But when I move to the develop module all I get is a black screen. Any suggestions? All input is appreciated.

I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to reply. I will report on how this turns out. These cassettes actually belong to my daughter and it is likely that I will take them to a local high-end photo store to see if they can return negatives as well as CD images.
By the way, someone replied about Costco and I have to say that I have used Costco in the past and have had excellent results.

Does anybody have any idea whether the film shown that has been exposed and has been sitting unprocessed in home interior conditions for approximately 17 or 18 years will provide any kind of negative and therefore a print?

I am going to transition to subscription Lightroom and Photoshop and want to uninstall LR5 AND the associated catalog. I want to start completely fresh with the subscription service including a new catalog. Do I have to do anything with Adobe during the uninstall process so that when I uninstall LR5 someone else new to LR can use the program on their PC? I do want to delete the catalog as well rather than transition it to the new subscription installation. Any suggestions or tips regarding how to get this done? Help is appreciated.

I do not want to take anything from this great picture but it was a posed picture taken after another smaller flag was put up. I do think it could have been noted in the write up. - Dave

True. The idea and execution were perfect. The timing was staged. It remains a great moment in our history.

What sport are you talking about? I live in Pittsburgh and the Steeler football games have been sold out for the last 40 years and the Penguin hockey games are sold out for the last 20 years the Pirate baseball games are not sold out only because their not doing to well this year. Who are you getting this information from?

I now live in Florida but until recently lived in the Chicago area all my life . . . . same for the Bears and the Blackhawks!
