Beautiful shots! I too am obsessed with these birds.
Thanks everyone! I appreciate your comments.
This picture is from a few months ago; most warblers have left for warmer areas by now.
It has taken me many years to get the courage to post here. I shoot mostly birds, wildlife, scenery and use mirrorless Sony and Olympus cameras. Feel free to comment, good and bad.
The ducks here were taken at the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Lakes in north-central NM.
You spotted a Prairie Falcon. This falcon together with the Peregrine Falcon are the largest falcons seen in the northern hemisphere, followed closely by the Aplomado Falcon. Next one smaller in size is the Merlin while the American Kestrel is our smallest falcon. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.
I don't think you will be disappointed in getting an Olympus EM1Mkii. Size and weight are only two of the numerous advantages, especially if you want to hike with your camera. Do get a good manual to get acquainted with its system.

Awesome picture; you have done well.
Thanks for your info.It seems like you had a good time. We plan to be there for our annual trip next week. I am surprised you missed the landings in the sunset, although they seem to be coming in more and more along the road that leads to the visitor's building.
By all means, go the latter part of January or very early in February. The cranes start flying north about the second or third week in February. Even then, you can catch them in Monte Vista, Colorado, mid-March or later. Yes, it is usually very cold just before sunrise, but by 9 a.m. you will be ready to shed some clothes.
Have fun!
