I have a few friends (and relatives) that think I have an obsession with Ospreys. My answer is how can you not be obsessed with a raptor that is beautiful and an incredible catcher of fish, entering the water dramatically and then flying by with such Grace! This bird circled overhead twice, then had a failed dive. The second dive was at high speed and then the bird rose with a nice sized mullet. The bird had to rid itself of the kelp, but strands of eel grass remain. I never tire of Ospreys!
An obsession that produces these shots should be nurtured! Keep them coming.
Great pics of a beautiful creature. I could watch them "fish" all day long.
Magnificent creatures!

Outstanding, phv. My family thinks I'm obsessed with all wild birds. I keep right on shooting, though.

Thanks so much, merrytexan! I had some kelp shots, too, where the bird struggled a bit to get out of the seaweeds! The last shot is my favorite…he’s squawking a bit!
