Just found these two old racoon photos taken back in the early 90's. This guy was right outside my tent while camping. My friends, who had never been camping before left the garbage hanging around, thus bringing out nature's masked bandit.

I think this was taken with my old Olympus Film SLR camera and long before I started to really learn a bit about photography and how to take good pictures.

Dria, like the colors in your photos... and them ducks look like they have their motors running... looking at the wakes they are leaving behind... a little faster and they would have a rooster tail kicking up behind them...

Nice Shots...

I'm Dreaming of a White Halloween, just like the one I've never had before....

Can you believe, snow in October here in New York... Couldn't miss the chance to get the Halloween decorations surrounded by snow.... I realized later my settings may have been a bit off cause at the time the pictures were taken... it was raining pretty heavy and I kinda rushed it...

Read a tutorial on how to create a 3D animation. Below is actually my second attempt. The first was making people feel as if they were experiencing an earthquake... This one, I feel I got it right on the money.... Feel free to comment...

A few thoughts and notes here...

The contest is a weekly contest, with this week't topic being RUST. Could be all rust, a little rust, close-up or distant... These shots were shot in the bright sunlight, and to me, the color is actually close to what it actually is in that light... Maybe a little bit more orange, but still pretty close.

As an added note, they were not shot with a Macro Lens.... they were actually shot with my "Motorola Droid Camera Phone" and were shot very very close. Didn't have my camera with me on Monday, and time was of the essence.

Here is the shot info...

ISO: ISO-55
Focal Length: 4 mm
FStop: F/2.8

Because time was of the essence... I have already entered this week's contest using my original selection (#2) with some minor color adjustments...

Thanks for all your comments.... Be on the lookout also... I have a bunch of other shots I took on Monday and will post them in another topic...

Couldn't resist the urge to go. It seemed like and was a beautiful day. And once I started shooting the ducks (with the camera), I couldn't stop... Then to get the shots for my panoramic...

Stitched together from about 32 photos... All Manual Exposures, except for the focus. Minor color enhancements after the stitching was completed to brighten the whole scene.

You will have to forgive me, but I was taking these after having been up for 20+ hours and working a double shift... With that siad.... Caught these duckies hanging in the pond in Forest Park. Got some turtles as well, but still have to convert the RAW images...

As always, feel free to comment...

Thanks....

I am closer at my job than I am at home... Yeah, it is still a distance, but not 12 miles... more like about 3 (As the crow flies).

The Empire State Building photo is just awesome. What time of day was it taken, and what gave you the idea? It's a truly unique angle.

I would say it was somewhere in the 5:00-6:00 range...

I have done shots like this before. I have an old shot like this of the Sears Tower taken with an old 110 film camera when I got out of boot camp. If I find it, will scan and post.

I actually think I took this one to possibly use to adjust the background of another shot I took with my son and his aunt in the picture. I was sitting, well actually laying on the ground to get the shots with them in the picture, then had them move and took the shot without them in it.
