The Kelby article appears to be an excellent source of knowledge for collaboration with Lightroom. We will give some form of what he has described a try.

Thanks again.

I want help setting up collaborative effort with another photo editor. The joint equipment and software list is as follows:
Adobe Photography subscription.
iPad 2TB
Windows 11 workstation
I know next to nothing about an iPad. That, however, is the choice of other editor. I have not used the Adobe Lightroom Cloud version. I do use Adobe Lightroom Classic and a little Adobe Photoshop. The other collaborator will be able to learn quickly. I can share files using a USB stick. I would like to be able to share, between the two of us, raw and edited photos on the cloud.
My questions are about how to set up an efficient workflow. Could both users share a common ".lrdata file"? I doubt that they could. I am informed by Adobe that the photography subscription includes two users. I presume they can be on dissimilar hardware. What Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop versions would be used? They have Adobe Lightroom for iPad. Has anyone done this? Adobe appears to not be available for calls at this time. I would appreciate hearing anyone's experience with a somewhat similar situation. Thanks at least for taking the time to read this!

I use a 512GB and a 1TB in a Canon R3. I do that because I cannot ask for a performance to stop while I change cards. The speed of the 1 TB card is inadequate to keep up with the camera. I rely upon the 512 GB card not filling up. I shoot only RAW and have had as many as 35,000 shots in a day. My second camera is a 1 DX III my second shooter uses two 128GB cards. I use only Sandisk cards.

I am very pleased with my Canon R3. I held off upgrading from a 1DX II for a long time because I misunderstood how the viewfinder functioned. The Sony I rented a few years ago was too much of a challenge for me to learn. The vast majority of my Canon lenses are compatible with an adaptor. The SD card, when used, slows down the bursts after the buffer is full. The CFexpress card is much faster and does not present a problem. Mirror slap was a big factor in my desire to go mirrorless. I am now able to shoot actual performances in addition to the dress rehearsals.

The ISO speed is determined by the camera in the Auto ISO setting. The 500 figure was actually a different photo and DPP4 reported it. I shouldn't have included it.

One photo was actually:
ISO Speed 2500
Auto ISO Speed ON

The other photo was actually:
ISO Speed 800
Auto ISO Speed ON

IMHO I was wrong about the camera and Canon, and you all were correct. The camera is OK.

I appreciate everyone sharing their wisdom regarding my two photographs. What I have gleaned from your comments is as follows: The difference in the two photos appears to have been operator error. In one photo, the exact center of the scene was the ballerina in front. In the other photo, the exact center was a dark area near the rear of the room. The spot metering made precise pointing of the camera essential for consistent, proper exposure. The ec=-2 setting was also an error. Thank you all for helping me see this clearly.

The Spot Meter was linked to the AF pt.

Thanks! I won't send it to Canon. I will post two photos as suggested.

DPP4 revealed that a Canon 1DX Mark III and a 24 mm L series lens on the same indoor scene, with the same lighting, within 2 seconds, and with Auto-ISO set to "on", varies the ISO from 1000 to 2500. Is that a normal ISO swing for that camera? A Canon support person said it was normal. I don't agree with that assessment. Before I send it in for repairs, I would like to hear what the UH community has to say. Thanks in advance! Part 2: Could a lens malfunction contribute to the change?
