Definitely looks like a Northern Water Snake to me. We have hundreds swimming in my lake and eating all the joyful sounding bull frogs. Eeeeekkkk!!
Thanks. No effects used. This was using f/22 to capture the burst while my camera was wide open. I think the ISO was at 100 and sutter speed was 120. The sunrise was early in the morning with a low ISO and I believe I had F/10. Sunrise was a very lucky shot while fishing wiht my husband. I had set at f/22 however I did not get to meter or adjust any other settings as I suddenly had a fish on my line. I snapped twice and this is what I got.
I think the problem is that I had saved them off my facebook account and loaded them on this site. So none are originals. Yes, the moth is VERY small. It is my own fingers that it is sitting on. Yes, poor exposure on the moths. I shoot in manual and was having a difficult time holding the camera, focusing the lens and adjusting my metering with only on hand. I just thought it was such a cute little bugger that I could not resist sharing. Thanks all!!!!
Thanks all. #2 is my cousin's daughter. Great little girl. She was tired and going into that quiet state. #1 is my daughters best friend and #3 is my husbands cousin and her new nice. On #2 I played with some textures and overlayed some coloring to give it a warm feel. I use CS5. #1 I brightened on purpose to give it a sun kissed look. It was very overcast that day and I had to have my ISO up a little too high as we were in the woods. #3 was taken at a baby shower so I had to edit out the entire background. Thanks again for all the comments. Opionions certainly feed improvement!
I love the first one. Looks haunted! Very cool pics!
Thanks. I call that one day dreamer. She is such a lovely little girl!
Thanks. It was difficult to meter while holding it in my hand. They are fun shots though. I found them interesting. The drangonfly is actually in my garden and the brown is actually my fence post and the black is the shadows in the corner where my fences square off. I thought the two tone gave the photo a really cool artistic look. Fun, Fun, Fun. I love to see what comes out of my macro lens. Thanks for the critique!
We had a blast doing this. These girls are so fun to photograph. They have so much fun posing and making each other laugh!
This little one hung around most of the day just enjoying the flowers.
You did an incredible job. I always struggle with the eyes when going black and white. You nailed it!
