THANKS EVERYONE! Those are fantastic and useful comments! I very much appreciate it! You're right Jim Bob about me not asking about the D810 but I appreciate all (somewhat) related thoughts and comments. Does the fact that the D500 has the newer Expeed 5 processor over the D750 Expeed 4 make a difference in the buying decision?

I know one of these is a crop frame sensor camera with Expeed 5 processor and the other full frame with Expeed 4 processor but what would be the better upgrade for someone with a Nikon D7000? Thank you. -Steve
Hi. It is not a daylily (genus Hemerocallis). It is some type of true lily of the genus Lilium. Sorry couldn't tell you the specie. There are also numerous hybrids too. Definitely not a "Daylily" though. Nice shot btw.
Definitely appears to be an oddity with those double plumes. Good catch! I'm no bird expert but I Googled it and it appears to be a California Valley Quail?
This does not answer the original question but I have seen some pretty impressive P900 shots. FWIW. I like that quote. "Sparrow-fart". Hopefully I'm not one.
Great shots Rocky! The Mitchell is one of my favorites. Boy they must have been down on the deck. Your angle on the shot is fairly flat. Thanks for sharing! 8-)
Although I can't disagree with Lightcatcher on the better depth of the B&W version, I still like the color rendition better personally. Beautiful color contrast to the sky.
The simple answer is yes. One must appreciate all that nature offers be it bad or good. Nature is perfect that way and is always in constant dynamic change. Excellent shots too!
