Hi, Not sure where in Perth you are situated, but a great way to not only learn your camera but also to learn more about equipment you can use with your camera, is to join one of a number of Camera club around Perth. North of the river in Edgewater/Joondalup there is the Northern Exposures Photography Group (NEPG). On High Rd in Williton you have the Camera workshop group and in Melville there is another. Most have some professionals in their group and usually can help re equipment issues, and also how to take better pictures along with photoshop classes etc. Not expensive. NEPG costs about $65/year.
There is also a photomart three times a year in the Leederville town hall, the next one is on the 28th June from 07:30 to 12:00 hrs, although they tend to start packing up around 11:00 hrs.
Hope that helps
Regards
Dr Pieter Berveling
Gun/firearms control has to be realistic. We, in Australia have had gun control/supression for years, yet the criminal element and those determined to cause harm can still, readily access firarms.
The capital city further away than/from any other capital city in the world. Literally at the edge of a dessert. To drive there from the Australian eastern states, you have to come along the longest straight road in the world, the Nullabor plaines, which comes roughly from Ceduna in south Australia to Norseman in Western Australia.
How can an orchid be photographed in a way that has not been done before?
