Bermuda is a micro continent sitting on an ancient lava continental shelf that has a high metallic content. Having lived there for a number of years I used to talk to local boat owners, it seems depending on on where you happen to be the magnetic deviation can be between four and eight degrees from magnetic north. The south of the islands have deep water just a few miles out, north of the island the water is shallow to as much as fifty miles and the deviation is worse to the north.

Completely agree with you fourlocks, regrettably the people in charge, politicians, big businesses, religious leaders etc. all seem to have more interest in the status quo than actually tackling the enormous problem it has become. We clearly need another "Greatest Generation", I hope the current late teens and early twenties generation are up to it but I do have my doubts wether they will be allowed to do the job.

I got interested in this, years ago I played electric organ and could just about play
left hand rhythm to right hand melody. Had a bit of practice and could after a few minutes could do anticlockwise right hand six and clockwise right foot circles. It's just a co- ordination problem, most keyboard players should have no problem.
Of course I am retired and have time to fool around with this.

It only works if you make the 6 starting at the top anticlockwise

You could look for tiny pin prick sized brown areas on the underside of some of the lower leaves, this is typical spider mite damage. On the lowest leaves you may find some yellowish damage coming onto the top surface of the leaves.

I'm not running into a stone wall on this, but rather getting conflicting answers. We have lilies of different types that bloom at different times. I suspect the upcoming buds are tiger lilies. Several of the various types have a fuzz on the buds that looks kind of like a spider's work. One source says it's aphids, but we never see any actual bugs of any kind on them. Yet another source says that it's part of the lily and is normal. Anybody know?

It looks like the web created by spider mites, they are very small (1/8th of a pin head) and can be difficult to see. They prefer warm dry conditions, frequent misting will discourage them. They are usually much more of a pest indoors or in glasshouses where natural predators aren't present. Hope this helps

I have found this with Amazon, I recently bought a small air pump for an aquarium I am setting up for my grandson. A couple of days later I got an email from Amazon suggesting I might like something for my CO2 equipment for my aquarium.Clicking on the item brought no information, as I had no idea what it does I checked elsewhere I found it on an aquarium specialist website at half the Amazon priice along with a good explanation of its purpose and use. I think the moral of this is of you see it on Amazon check elsewhere it could be a lot cheaper

Old people are at least ten years older than me. This does not change after each birthday.

It's a pepperomia, not sure the species, but they are quite common houseplants. A climbing variety is the source of peppercorns that you use in your pepper grinder.
