I was at a wedding where there was an announcement just before the ceremony stated that the bride and room requested that no pictures be taken by anyone other than the official photographers. I complied but that it was a bit ridiculous and deprived the couple and their family of some great candids.

I have a 7D Mark ii. I have resisted moving "up" to full frame because I shoot sports and do a lot of walking around photography. The frames per second capability and flexibility of the 7D Mark ii fit my needs perfectly.

I'm 69. I have this lens. It is an excellent walking around lens. Very versatile. I take all but specialized pictures with it. I take on all my trips in the U.S. I'm now in Europe with it. I have no problem with the bulk or weight

I do many types of photography including birds in flight, other wildlife, landscape, sports, and family. I have a Canon 7DMarkII I have several lenses but my go to walking around lens is a tamron 18-400 zoom. It is incredibly versatile, and handled properly very crisp. Good luck.

I too have a Canon 7D Mark II. I shoot in manual 95% on the time. The only things I hate about the camera is that the meter is vertical and it is not very bright. On the original 7D the meter was horizontal and very visible. I think Canon should put out a software revision to correct this, if possible

I called Canon about this. They have received numerous calls about it. They assured me that they will be coming out with a firmware update to correct this issue. I encourage all Canon 7D Mark ii owners to contact canon tech support to let them know important it is for them to correct with quickly. For action photography when you are frequently changing settings on the fly this issue materially reduces the effectiveness of what otherwise is a really terrific camera. I shoot in manual with manual iso all the time and the absence of the typical horizontal exposure meter really slows me down. Their tech support number us 1 800 828 4040. They told me with the firmware update users will be able to pick whether to keep the vertical exposure meter or the horizontal one. I have a hard time seeing the vertical meter. It takes my vision away for the subject and it is very faint. I greatly prefer the horizontal meter.

Can anyone compare the print quality of the Canon Pro 9500 Mark II with the newer pixma pro series--ie the Pro 1, Pro 10, or Pro 100?

I'm making my own calendars this year. I will do 8 1/2 by 11 sheets bound so I need to print on both sides of the paper. Presentation paper and matter finish don't show that well. Does anyone know of a good two sided paper to use?
