Hi Wonky, its a great capture and I think its probably the male of either a Merlin or a Sparrowhawk. its a bit difficult to relate the size in comparison to the Yellowhammers.

Hi, I think this is a Chiffchaff but it could easily be a Willow warbler. the two can easily be confused. to be sure you need to here it call or sing. Lovely little bird, mainly a spring/summer visitor but some do overwinter.

Hello,
I'm Mike based in Manchester, England and I have just joined the forum. I have been a bird watcher most of my life and now combined it with photography. although I am not very experienced at it. So apart from the social side of the forum I hope to be able to pick a multiple of brains when I mess up. For the record I have a Bridge camera Fugi Finepix HS20EXR. I get on well with it but I don't think I make the best use of it as I always shoot on auto focus.Comments, advice etc. is welcome.
Cheerio,
Mike
