Did you crop the photo at all?

Higher ISO's like 800 can cause digital noise. And if you cropped it tighter than that can make the grain more visible. And if it was a dark photo, under exposed, and you lighten it a bunch that could cause noise to be more visible.

In photoshop there is a filter the reduces noise. It doesn't do much, but it may help. . I have a plug in I purchased called Imagnomic that really helps reduce grain but I use it all of the time for portrait photography.

THank you! I do see what you mean about the first photo. The flowers are blurred right there and it's a distraction.

Love your photo!!!

I had trouble uploading one of my photos and it was because of the name of the photo. I guess it didn't like it. I re-named it and took out spaces and it uploaded.

Beautiful girl! I am so new to photography, so I'm sure if I should be critiquing. I like the photo, but for a body shot it's a little distracting to me that her foot was cut off at the bottom. The other thing that I notice is that the photo looks a little flat and cool.

I took it into photoshop and added some contrast and warmth and it just made the girl pop out a bit.

Hi There. I am new to photography...picked up my first DSLR in October and upgraded in April. I have a small photography business, but I am still learning.

I haven't had any formal training and have learned everything from websites...google...practice. I also have never had training in photoshop. I've never had my photos critiqued either...I'm a little nervous, but I would love feedback from people who know their stuff. :)

I am a natural light photographer. I shoot with a Canon 7D. My two preferred lenses are canon 50mm 1.4 and 24-70 2.8L. I like to photograph people. I shoot in manual mode.

Hi There! I'm very new to this site....introduced by my grandmother. My name is Catherine, but my friends call me Cat. I am a stay at home mom to two wonderful kiddos aged 3 and 6 months.

I purchased my first DSLR in October and started a small business in May of this year. I am still learning every day.

I shoot with a Canon 7D. My two preferred lenses are a Canon 50mm 1.4 and a 24-70mm 2.8L.

I consider myself a natural light photographer. Here are some recent shots of mine. Any feedback is appreciated...I am so new and have never had formal training on photography or editing.

I do shoot completely manual and edit in photoshop.
