Thanks. I wasn't able to find it either. I like that the photos show up much better now in the new format.

I never heard of it.

You've missed a treat. I have just found someone local who stocks it, sometimes it's hard to find, so this sucks. Great magazine, informative articles and gear reviews I trust. I shall have to re-read the copies I have (from Issue 3) and enjoy them all over again

Coincidence -- I am from Toronto too! And I agree about the wet. My 50mm will open to f 1.8 , so another advantage there. I got some very good shots from the HighLine at night and also from Christopher Street pier:

The Empire State lit up for Veterans Day, no rain, yay! Taken with Nikon Df. I plan on doing the HighLine next trip, I'm told it's well worth doing.

Take a serious look at the Sony RX10 Mk II

I have the RX10 and it has given me superb results...like the constant f2.8 aperture and the fact you can change the aperture on the lens, just like the good ole days :-)

I'm just back from NYC - it was very wet so I hope you at least get better weather. Glad I took my reasonably fast f2.8 24-70mm found that covered my needs well. I'm female and preferred shooting the city at night, I felt perfectly safe walking around, in fact safer than I feel walking in my home city of Toronto, Ontario. Have fun!

The voting has ended, but did anyone apart from me have a problem voting?
Usually you make your choice and vote, but that didn't happen for me this time or in the newest Autumn contest. Do you have to go to another page to vote now? Am I having a "duh" moment!

Living in Ontario where the best Fall colors were to be seen three weeks ago, I agree, I feel that one week is too short a time frame. Recently I submitted a photo in the Exotic theme taken in California two weeks previous, Steve took it down because it wasn't in the stated time frame. Which was disappointing for me as I couldn't find anything remotely exotic in my location. It would be interesting to see if extending the time frame to one month would work? Or does that defeat the concept of this particular "competition". If it isn't fun though, and at times it isn't, perhaps I shouldn't be bothering!

That is even more impressive. I think you're going to have a lot of fun with that camera and get some very nice shots.

Hi, I have a few zooms from my Pen days, but they don't feel right on the bigger EM-1 body, whereas the new 12-40 balances the outfit nicely. I do have the 25 "Leica" hardly wide though. Oh decisions, decisions! Thanks to all who have posted.

I would take the E-M1 and if you have the time a visit to Death Valley would be a great photographic experience. Hope you have a good trip.

Thank you, this is what I need, someone to make the decision for me :-)
Death Valley huh, o.k. sounds like a warm place to go, after Toronto that's very much what I'm in need of right now.

what camera do you feel most comfortable with?

if you where standing in front of a table, and on that table was both of your cameras, and there was an "event" going to happen {bird in flight, steam train going by, etc}
and you only had 10 to 30 seconds to capture a photo of that event , what camera would you pick up and use?

enjoy your trip!!

I think the EM-1 - although caveat to that, it has to have the right lens on it😳. That's my answer in theory - today I'll put it into practice, see which one I go for. What an interesting exercise. Thanks! And I'm looking forward to my trip immensely😊
