Thought I would try using the Luminar AI Sky Replacement feature on a couple of images I took in April of the Washington Monument in D.C. CC welcome.

"The Washington Monument, designed by Robert Mills and eventually completed by Thomas Casey and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, honors and memorializes George Washington at the center of the nation's capital. The structure was completed in two phases of construction, one private (1848-1854) and one public (1876-1884). Built in the shape of an Egyptian obelisk, evoking the timelessness of ancient civilizations, the Washington Monument embodies the awe, respect, and gratitude the nation felt for its most essential Founding Father. When completed, the Washington Monument was the tallest building in the world at 555 feet, 5-1/8 inches."

When you change a sky use the Tone adjustment in Luminar AI to make sure your subject matches the sky. The sunset sky is not reflected in tone to the monument.

Why don't you join Luminar Insiders and go to the Coffee Breaks every day at 1 pm EDT. Ask your question and one of the members probably could answer your question.
With the war in Ukraine I don't think you should bother Luminar support. They have life and death issues to contend with. Skylum the maker of Luminar is in the Ukraine.

I also have a 4-year-old Dell working on Windows 10.
I also got a offer to upgrade to Win 11. I asked my computer
professional if I should, he said NO. I also run Adobe Creative Cloud.
Don't look for problems.

The camera doesn't take the photo, you do. Perhaps the 850 has some bells and whistles you like but a photo that is great has to do with the photographer. The photos you posted were great.

I don't use Luminar sky's, I install my own. I also do my own tweaks and adjustments. I too liked the layers in #4.
AI dumped them and there is no explanation why. Vanelli says use your own, after awhile you get to know Luminar sky's and the photo looses something.
I guess when you are making big bucks you don't listen to the complaints to much.
Be safe , be happy, and hug someone today.

Do you mind if I tell Vanelli about our conversation?
I did like Luminar 4 better because of the layers that they dropped in the AI version.
I still use 4 at times, the dodge and burn in AI does work well as do some of the newer
quick fixes for a photo.

Thank you for your explanation of your issue. Perhaps you are correct and I didn't have a bug but rather not knowing the product and what it is able to do. I do find some functionality of Luminar useful, I do most processing in LR and Photoshop.

I am sorry you have had bad experiences with Skylum.
No I don't work for them but I have found that their marketing manager Vanelli he
has also helped me. I would suggest that you contact him directly, he has
given me solutions to some "bugs"

I have had great customer support and tech support from Skylum. (Luminar)
Skylum has never advertised that it is a replacement for Lightroom / Photoshop.
For my work flow the combination including Topaz Denoise AI and Sharper AI
have made editing easier.

Why a choice. Both are great programs. I have both along with the Creative Cloud.
The plug ins work fine. The support from Luminar (Skylum) is also great.
