thanks for all your replies. Guess I'll just wait for adobe upgrade, meanwhile shoot JPG and raw and save anything worthwhile until then. Beats me why they have keep introducing new formats all the time , I can only think its because they can, once again thanks for all your advice. Lozza

Hi hog people. I have just purchased Nikon P1000 . I edit in elements 15 but it will not accept NRW raw files from P1000. I downloaded elements 18 on 30 day trial but its the same problem. I then downloaded nikons "captureNX-D" and " viewNX-1"so can edit NRW files there, but cannot save these anywhere on my computer [27" iMac Sierra]I also have Sony RX-10 mk 111 from which I simply drag the raw file into elements, to easy. The question: is there any way I can get Nikon NRW files into elements ,2 how can I save capture NX-d files to computer? and people ask me why I drink so much!
thanks in advance for any advice, regards Laurie

Hi Guys-- Ive had canon 5D mk 2 since early 2012> lenses include 24-70 2.8 L 2 usm, 70-200 2.8 L IS II IS--and sigma50-500 4.5--6.3.
Whilst this is not a bad setup for what I shoot I've never been real happy with the image quality. I also have an old sony bridge camera DSC R1 which in my opinion takes a better image than the 5D. I also recently bought a nikon p900 which blows the 5D off the park regards image quality straight out of the camera. Of course it has its limits coparred to the 5D. I now find the 5d sits at home most of the time while I march out the door with the p900 under my wing . seems such a waist leaving behind $8000 [aus $]worth of camera gear.
I'm now thinking sell the 5D body and replace it with a later model EOS , my question is which one has the best image quality ,was thinking 7D MK II till I read someone getting rid of his as he was unhappy with the soft image any suggestions . I shoot a bit of anything that gets in front of the lens ,including BIF. regards Laurie [in australia]
